FamilyShield checks the URL of each page you visit against a block list to decide whether to allow or block it. This happens entirely on your device — your browsing activity is never transmitted to us or any third party. The only network request FocusGuard makes on its own is a periodic fetch of a public, third-party adult-content block list (from blocklistproject/Lists on GitHub) to keep automatic detection current.
