YT Clipper adds a scissors button to the YouTube player. Click it to open a small panel where you can:
Clips are recorded in real time from the video you are watching, so a 30 second clip takes 30 seconds and the tab should stay open while it records. You can name each clip before saving and choose a subfolder under Downloads in the settings.
No data is collected or sent anywhere. Settings are stored locally in your browser.
Only save videos you have the right to save.
- Set a start and end point from the current playback position
- Fine tune either point in 1s or 0.1s steps
- Preview the whole clip, or just the last few seconds to check the ending (nudging the end point replays it automatically)
- Record the segment and save it as a .webm file in your Downloads folder
