Floating Note stores your notes locally on your device by default (browser.storage.local). No data is collected or transmitted by the developer.
If you choose to enable the optional Google Drive backup feature, your notes are uploaded directly from your browser to a private, app-only folder in your own Google Drive account (using Google's official API), authenticated via OAuth. This is entirely optional, off by default, and the developer never sees or stores this data — it stays in your own Google account.
No analytics, tracking, or advertising of any kind is used.
