*Honey doesn't work anymore; clicking the button no longer opens the drop-down.*

This extension does not work for me. The only online shopping I do is with eBay, and there are *never* any codes for eBay, and even the 0.5% return thing it offers for eBay never works because all of my purchases are always excluded. This extension might be of some value to some people, but certainly not for me.

Also, I do not like that it is constantly watching what sites we visit, even in privacy mode, and phoning home with that information to see if there's a code for the site. That's a huge privacy leak.

UPDATE:

In addition to it never working, it also has no codes for any other sites (it's basically just groupon and other sites that only have useless fake or expired codes).

It also EXPIRES YOUR GOLD, so you could go a long time, slowly trying to inch towards that 1,000 gold minimum to be able to actually get ANYTHING out of Honey, but they'll delete it and force you to start over from scratch. Yes, they're so petty, they'll steal your $1.23. 😒

There's also no way to remove the affiliate that referred you to stop them from getting paid (assuming they actually do), so if you joined Honey with an affiliate link from someone who later turns out to be horrible, too bad, you'll have to either keep helping them out, or forfeit whatever honey-gold you have and delete your account. 😒

MegaLag did an exposé video showing how Honey STEALS affiliate commissions from LITERALLY EVERYBODY! On top of being useless to users, they're also THIEVES! 😠

Honey has one job, and I found it couldn't do it at all. The entire time I had it installed it found 0 coupon codes that would work for whatever I was purchasing.

Today when making a purchase at a pretty well know retailer I tried Honey yet again only to have it tell me there were 0 coupons/codes out of 14 it found, that would work for me. This didn't seem right as I know this retailer loves coupon codes, specifically for free shipping so I google 'said-retailer coupon codes' and the first website, your standard coupon code farming site (loaded with ads and trackers of course-thank goodness for all the blockers), had on the first entry a 20% off the entire site code, that worked.

The most interesting part of this is that this code did flash on the Honey extension when I tried to use it initially (as it was 'trying codes'), so why wasn't it applied? Why did Honey say it had used it and it didn't effect the price outcome but when I manually entered it it worked correctly? I don't know how this extension is getting such great reviews. I've had this extension installed for almost 3 months now with it doing nothing for me and I shop online A LOT. I'm now wondering how many discounts I could have found myself just with google, instead of trusting this extension to look for me.

Removed it pronto. While I might pay a site money to not see ads, I will never accept ads for "pretended" savings.

While Honey merely pretend to help save me money on some sites I often used, what it absolutely did do was to slow down the firefox browser startup, and locked it up for as much as 60 seconds each time.

Then they went on to abuse the website by injecting its own adds into website web pages for me to see instead of the websites own adds. Very sneaky of you. First you deny a website of its own source of revenue and then you replace it with your own revenue stream? It that how this works? Even when I may have paid that site to *not* see advertisements, I still got them from you. Turned you off, funny thing, no more ads.

I've bought probably a dozen things online from various places since having this and its never found a single code. Maybe its because I'm in Canada and buying anything here means getting shafted all the time but this extension has proved pretty much useless.
Oh, and they're paying for fake reviews, There are dozens and dozens of reviews by people with usernames like 4a5hCd or similar. So disingenuous, shame on you

This addon is broken for forefox. I always have to re-login when i launch firefox and alot of the time it will say wrong password but Honey addon works perfectly on Chrome browser there I only have to log in once and no other glitches. So whenever I need Honey coupon I have to use Chrome.

Im using firefox Nightly 62.0a1 (2018-05-29) (64-bit) I just installed the app buy whenever i click on the honey icon the tab im on crashes

I like the tracking and how I get the best price. The add-on causes Firefox to run slow, lock up, crash, and run so slow that Firefox is unusable. This was on 5 different computers running Linux Mint, Debian, Kali, Tails, Windows 7 and Windows 10. Tested and when I removed it Firefox problems were instantly solved. I do not recommend this add on however at a later time if these bugs are fixed then I would recommend it. I would have rated it a 0 however that is not 1 of the choices.

Honey in itself is great, but this add on firefox's performance. It took me a while to figure out what was degrading the performance...it's this add on! Hopefully will be addressed in an update.

This is something I do not need. If I can't uninstall it, I will use another search page

I have to agree with the other reviews on here documenting Honey's poor performance on all sites in general. When I first installed Honey I didn't notice any issues, but after some time it kills Firefox's performance. Hover animations, clicking, delayed typing, all occurred while Honey was installed. This was on every site (G-mail, Slack, everything). The moment I removed it, none of those issues occurred again. Maybe it's the result of a cache buildup over time, but that's ridiculous that it affects every website like that. It made me think Firefox was the culprit when in fact it was this add-on.
