Silpo Price Compare is a browser extension that shows what your shopping basket on a Ukrainian supermarket site (Novus, METRO, Auchan and other Zakaz.ua chains, and Varus) would cost at Silpo. This policy explains exactly what the extension accesses and sends.

What the extension reads
On the supported supermarket sites only, the extension reads your current shopping basket — product names, quantities, and prices — from the page (its cart DOM, or, for Varus, the cart the site stores in your browser's localStorage). It does this solely to compare those items against Silpo prices. It does NOT read your account, login credentials, payment details, delivery address, order history, or any page outside the supported supermarket sites. It does not read your browsing history and does not run on any other website.

What the extension sends, and to whom
To fetch Silpo prices, the extension sends your basket's product names, quantities, and prices to its own backend service (api-silpo.innolope.com). The backend then queries Silpo's public storefront API for matching products, and for items it can't match unambiguously, may send the product title only to a third-party language-model provider (e.g. OpenRouter) to pick the right match. Only product titles are used for matching. No name, email, account, location, or other identifying information is collected or transmitted — the extension has no access to any of that in the first place.

What the extension stores
The only thing stored is a backend URL setting, kept in the browser's local extension storage (storage.local) on your device. Nothing is stored remotely about you.

Tracking and analytics
The extension contains no advertising, no analytics, and no cross-site tracking.

Data retention
Basket comparisons may be cached on the backend keyed by product title only (e.g. the Silpo match for "Молоко Яготинське 2,6%"), never keyed to a user. There is no user account and no per-user data to retain or delete.

Silpo Price Compare is an independent tool published by Innolope. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Silpo, Zakaz.ua, Novus, METRO, Auchan or Varus. Retailer names are used only to describe which sites the extension works on.
