In essence, this extension just makes scrolls "slower." Rather than the page immediately moving to where the mouse wheel directs it, it moves there more slowly and, indeed, smoothly. It has a degree of reverse-acceleration, i.e. The first 80% of the scrolled section goes by quickly, while the last 20% moves slowly. This has the effect of making it difficult to immediately see where the page has been scrolled to, thus one cannot get the instant feedback necessary to determine whether more scrolling is necessary in order to view the part of the page desired.
Scrolling is designed to enhance usability. This extension sacrifices usability in exchange for making the action more visually pleasing.
(Side note: I fail to see why one needs to have the SetPoint software installed (and thus use a Logitech mouse) in order to use this extension. This extension is overall just marketing wank--simply another bulletpoint to add to the "features" section when selling the hardware. - Se valoró con 1 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 15182723, hace 7 añosCan't figure out how to make it work.

- Se valoró con 1 de 5por latentexistence, hace 7 añosWhy does it need access to data for all websites? Unacceptable.
- Se valoró con 1 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 14671411, hace 7 añosDoes not work with Adobe Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com). This extension causes the Lightroom screen to blank and it has to be reloaded to see my photos. Smooth scrolling works on just about every other website, but no on Lightroom. If you're a photographer, I'd suggest disabling the Logitech Smooth Scrolling extension for Firefox.

Please read Firefox statement about this: it means the extension can read all data from web pages you visit, including usernames and passwords you type in !!! Unacceptable to me so I pass my way.

Also, it breaks some websites, e.g., the image viewer in Slack.
