Orlo Download Manager Privacy Policy

Orlo Download Manager does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to the developer or any third party.

To do its job, the extension reads information about the downloads and links you choose to send to Orlo — such as the URL, the page referrer, the suggested filename, and (for authenticated downloads) the relevant cookies and request headers. This information is passed only to the Orlo application running locally on your own Mac, over the browser's native messaging channel. It is never sent to any remote server, and it is not used for analytics, advertising, or tracking.

Permissions used:
- downloads — detect and hand off file downloads
- cookies — keep authenticated downloads working
- nativeMessaging — communicate with the local Orlo app
- contextMenus, storage — the "Send to Orlo" menu and your preferences

Because all data stays on your device, uninstalling the extension removes its access entirely.
