    Brilliant and enlightening little project. Foolish that people take stars away for not fulfilling their specific use cases. Don't ding it, just leave your gripes in the comments. This deserves five stars.

    Thank you for the kind words :) I just released v2.0.0 which was an entire re-write of the extension. Your browser should automatically update it within a day or so

    Outdated: Notifications can't be disabled either globally or for individual sites. They re-enable themselves after the browser is restarted.

    Hey this is an issue I'm aware of and know the solution to. I will add this feature later today :)

    Edit 3/11/25: Mozilla just approved PortAuthority v2.0.0 which has persistent settings and added the whitelist (gear icon). Enjoy!

    Works brilliantly! (Almost too well, sometimes; I want to allow my bank to port-scan me and I see from the code that I should be able to whitelist a domain but I don't see how. Better all than none, though.)

    [edited to add: just saw the release notes for v1.1.4 regarding temporary reversion. Got it.]

    The new version 1.1.5 will be out soon. Right now I am having some users Beta test it to make sure there aren't any issues before it is pushed out. If you'd be kind enough to beta test it for me the instructions are here https://github.com/ACK-J/Port_Authority/issues/32#issuecomment-1720072034
