This ensures that high-confidence identifiers, such as release group names (FitGirl, [SubsPlease]) and structural TV episode codes (S01E01), are evaluated before generic file extensions (like .mkv or .zip).
• Resolved Container Collisions: Fixed short-circuiting issues where generic container formats were incorrectly labeling content. Files are now correctly identified by their content context (e.g. TV Show or Anime) regardless of the file extension.
• Expanded Trigger Dictionary: Integrated a comprehensive library of real-world scene tags, including release groups, hardware platforms (PS4, Switch), and streaming service identifiers (Netflix, AMZN, Crunchyroll).
• Audio Intelligence: Improved music detection to trigger on audio format keywords (e.g., FLAC, MP3, Lossless) appearing anywhere in the filename or directory path, rather than only checking the final file extension.
• Boundary-Aware Matching: Updated all pattern triggers to use robust Regular Expressions, ensuring keywords are correctly detected whether they are separated by spaces, underscores, dots, or dashes, and preventing "Unknown" labels for perfectly valid media.

UI & Visual Polish

• Ephemeral Password Visibility: Added a secure toggle to temporarily reveal the NAS admin password during setup. For enhanced privacy, the field auto-focuses when revealed and instantly reverts to a hidden state the moment you click away or switch tabs.
• Native Theme-Aware Icons: Eradicated OS-dependent emojis (like the gear icons) that rendered inconsistently across platforms (e.g., Windows vs. macOS). These have been replaced with crisp, native SVGs that perfectly inherit the extension's Light and Dark mode color palettes, complete with subtle, theme-aware hover states.
• Refined Removal State: When a download is marked for deletion (Undo countdown), the row no longer incorrectly fades out as if it were an inactive task. Instead, it remains fully visible with a new, professional faint-red background and subtle border to clearly indicate its pending deletion status.
• Persistent Text Formatting: Fixed a visual glitch where clicking "Remove" would cause the filename to temporarily lose its smart middle-truncation (ellipsis) or search highlights. The filename now perfectly retains its formatting during the entire Undo countdown.

Bug Fixes & Stability

• Critical Crash Fix: Resolved a TypeError that caused the popup to crash when processing generic software, iso, or archive files that were missing from the classification array.
• URL Processing Reliability: Fixed an issue where complex links containing specific characters (such as single quotes or brackets) sent via the right-click context menu were being improperly HTML-encoded, causing the download to silently fail on

UI & Layout Enhancements

• Intelligent Text Truncation: Rebuilt the download metadata container to natively support ellipsis (...), ensuring long filenames and metadata gracefully truncate on narrow screens without breaking the layout.
• Optimized Metadata Hierarchy: Reordered the task metadata to prioritize actionable, dynamic metrics. The layout now anchors critical data to the left in a clean Speed • Time • Size flow, making it easier to scan in an "F-pattern".
• Error Visibility: Redesigned the "Completed Tasks" metadata line to permanently anchor failed download Error Messages to the far left. This ensures critical failure reasons are never hidden by text truncation on smaller windows.
• Streamlined Typography: Removed redundant text labels (such as "ETA:", "Next ETA:", and "Total:") across the task rows and Bulk Action bars to reduce visual noise and maximize available horizontal pixel space.
• Unified Design Language: Standardized the bullet separator (•) across all interface elements, including the Active, Seeding, and Completed tabs, replacing mismatched pipe (|) and middle-dot (·) characters.
• Modernized Settings Icons: Stripped heavy default box styling and borders from the gear configuration icons in the Settings tab, replacing them with a clean, transparent look featuring a subtle hover-state background.

Under-the-Hood & Bug Fixes

• Restored Help Markdown: Fixed a rendering bug in the Settings help popovers (?) caused by a corrupted RegEx string, successfully restoring dynamic <strong> (bold) text translation.
• Robust DOM Generation: Refactored the JavaScript responsible for building the task rows and Bulk Action bars. Replaced brittle string concatenation with clean array .join() logic, permanently preventing dangling bullet points or double spaces when rendering dynamic task data.

Enhanced Backup & Restore
Importing your saved settings is now much safer and clearer. When you choose a backup file, the extension will display a quick preview summary of what is about to be imported (e.g., connection details, UI preferences). We also added a safety checkbox so you can choose whether or not to overwrite your saved NAS password during the import.

New Keyboard Shortcut
Power users can now instantly open the extension popup without reaching for the mouse. Simply use the default shortcut Alt+Shift+Q to pop open the interface from anywhere.

Rock-Solid Bulk Actions
Managing large lists is now completely seamless. Clicking "Clear All", "Pause All", or "Resume All" safely batches the commands to prevent overloading your NAS. The interface will no longer freeze or show visual text glitches when processing dozens of files at once.

Smarter Path Copying
The copy-to-clipboard feature is now fully aware of your custom Folder Routing rules. Clicking a completed download accurately copies its specific destination folder on the NAS, rather than falling back to the global default directory.

Lag-Free Search
Optimized the search bar so it waits for you to pause typing before filtering the list. This eliminates interface stuttering and makes searching through a massive download history perfectly smooth.

Performance & Battery Optimizations
Eliminated a hidden background CPU drain. The extension's internal "Undo" countdown timer now completely shuts itself down when no tasks are being actively removed, saving system memory and battery life.

Connection Reliability
Fortified internal error handling to prevent the extension from hanging or crashing if the QNAP NAS encounters an unexpected login error or reaches its session limit.

Auto-Intercept: File Type Control
The auto-intercept feature can now filter by file type in addition to file size. A new "File types to intercept" section in the auto-intercept settings lets you individually enable or disable interception for Video, Audio, Torrent, Archive, Software/EXE, Disc Image, and Document categories. Torrent files are always intercepted instantly regardless of the size limit.

Auto-Intercept: Minimum Size Is Now Optional
The minimum file size threshold can now be toggled on or off independently. When disabled, matching file types are intercepted regardless of size. When enabled, it works as before.
Auto-Intercept: Mid-Flight Interception (New Method)
Files that open directly in the browser (inline media, PDFs, videos) are now intercepted before they begin loading, not just downloads triggered via the native download manager. This improves capture of streaming media and inline content.

Settings: Unsaved Changes Indicators
The Settings tab now shows a small blue dot next to any field you've changed but not yet saved. The Save button also subtly highlights when there are pending changes, so you always know what's been modified.

File Type Icons: Smarter Detection
File type detection now uses extension and MIME type matching before keyword scanning, making it more accurate for common media formats. Custom keyword rules using pipe-separated alternatives (e.g. book|books|ebook) are now supported — one rule can match multiple terms.

Info Link: Unknown Type Now Searchable
Downloads with an unrecognized file type now show a clickable search icon that opens a Google search for the filename, instead of showing nothing.

Quick Add: No Auto-Focus When Downloads Are Active
The paste-link text box no longer steals keyboard focus when there are items in any tab (Downloading, Paused, Seeding, or Completed). Focus only goes there automatically when all tabs are completely empty.

Improved folder verification feedback during connection TEST

When the NAS user account lacks File Station application privilege in QTS, the Test button now reports "Connected" (credentials and Download Station access are valid) rather than failing entirely. A "Folder path not verified · Why?" notice appears in the header with a step-by-step guide explaining how to grant File Station privilege in QTS Control Panel. Downloads are unaffected -- only folder path verification requires this privilege.
