Why this extension has access to all websites data?! 2 starts instead of 1 because at least works but please adjust the permissions!

This move makes Synology Photos useless for me. Next NAS will be UGREEN with Immich in Docker. Thank you Synology for giving me the necessary shove I needed for this overdue decision.

It is a bad idea to let clients do works server supposed to do, the performance is very bad, Synology NAS is getting harder to use than before

I assume that this feature should be added to the server and not to the browser. This extension should not have access to all websites. After using it for a few months, I rarely use the upload feature for these file formats. I prefer to uninstall it, as the pros and cons are too negative.

Common image formats like HEIC should be supported natively in Synology Photos. This is pushing me towards Open Source alternatives

Soy usuario de 6 equipos Synology. Ahora mis equipos han perdido el valor ya que las fotografías, uno de mis principales motivos, no sirven para nada con esta tontería que han hecho. Wallapop para ir vendiendo mis Synology's y por suerte en el mercado ahora exiten opciones muy interesantes para sustituirlo, menor precio, mayor libertad y muy completas.

C'mon, Synology! Add the codecs back. This is ridiculous.

So cool they decided to do this to us and not even give support to Linux users for the desktop app. Seriously considering another option after this.

Synology must reverse this decision.

Thats a deal-breaker. Ripping vital functions from DSM and forcing end-users (not just admins) to install extra software (Browser plug-in PLUS desktop software!) is a real breach of trust!

Eine Frechheit, was sich Synology mit dem Update auf 7.2.2 geleistet hat. Funktionen auf dem Server wegnehmen und dann nur halbherzig auf die Clients verlagen. Linux User bleiben jedenfalls hier außen vor

They decided to make the user experience worse. If I want to share HEIC files with others through Synology Photos I have to make them go trhough stupid hoops to install things they don't want. This has singlehandledly made me decide to move away from Synology for my next NAS.

Synolgoy has removed basic functionality with this decison and made their NAS non-competitive with other brands. When it's time for a new NAS, I won't be procuring Synology. Makes you wonder who is making decisions like this. Really unfortunate.

Has access to every page, and adds a div with the id "synofoto-browser-extension-loaded" to them. I know, a Synology NAS can be at any domain, but at least make it so the end-user can enter the domain names into the settings. Doing it this way is not great.

From what I can tell its working as advertised. Just not happy with synology decision. Also this should be more accessible, like a prompt within photos linking users to this extension. There is zero reason to haft to go searching for it. Would be 5 stars but like I said, very ticked offf with synology.
