Tab Slot Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Tab Slot browser extension handles information.
Tab Slot is made by Chen Guo and is offered as a small companion extension
for launcher, bookmark, and automation workflows.


Single Purpose

Tab Slot opens specially marked URLs into named browser tab slots, so opening
the same slot URL later focuses the existing tab instead of leaving duplicate
tabs behind.


Local Extension Data

Tab Slot stores slot metadata locally in your browser profile using browser
extension storage. This local data can include:

- Slot names you provide in marked URLs.

- Browser tab IDs assigned by the browser.

- The clean URL associated with a slot.

- Recent action status shown in the extension popup.

This information is used only to create, reuse, restore, and display tab
slots. It is not uploaded by Tab Slot.


Browser Tab Access

Tab Slot uses the browser tabs permission to detect marked slot URLs, remove
the marker from the new tab, focus an existing slot tab when possible, update
a tab to the clean URL when needed, and close the temporary marker tab after
reuse.

Tab Slot does not use host permissions or content scripts and does not read
page content. It only handles tab information needed for the tab-slot feature.


No Remote Service

Tab Slot does not create an account, does not send your slot metadata or tab
URLs to a server, does not use analytics, does not execute remote code, and
does not sell or share your data.


Removing Local Data

You can remove Tab Slot's local extension data by uninstalling the extension
or clearing the extension's browser storage from your browser profile.
