Permissions
Tabs Tray requires the following permissions to operate:
"tabs","activeTab": Required to fetch and manage browser tabs."tabGroups": Required to fetch and manage browser tab groups."storage": Required for:- Storing user settings.
- Persisting event listeners when using the in-page drawer mode. (Keeping the drawer panel working properly as you navigate between web pages)
- (On Chromium‑based browsers) Storing tab thumbnails, which are automatically erased after the current browser session is closed.
"scripting": Required to open the Tabs Tray drawer inside a webpage when drawer mode is selected."sessions": Required to provide the "restore closed tab" option in the tab right‑click menu."host_permissions": ["<all_urls>"]: On Firefox, this permission is required to directly capture tab thumbnails. Tabs Tray will still work without it if you disable the "Display tab thumbnails by default" option.
Settings
Tabs Tray uses the Chromium or Firefox Web Extensions Storage Sync/Local API to store user settings.
Personal Data
Tabs Tray does not collect any personal data.
Currently, Tabs Tray works completely offline and makes no proactive external network connections.
GitHub (GitHub, Inc.) is used for Tabs Tray development, collecting user feedback, and hosting discussions. You typically need a GitHub account to report bugs or participate in discussions. Please refer to GitHub's privacy policy.
