publicado el hace 2 mesesI haven't changed anything related to logins since 2023. Which request are you getting this response from? - Se valoró con 5 de 5por TastyDactyl, hace 2 mesesEditing my Review, the addon works again as intended, its great. Thank you for your continued work on this!
This addon was wonderful until it stopped working. It no longer refreshes itself unless ive done a manual refresh every morning. then it actually works. I am not sure if there is a fix coming or if the dev has abandoned it but it is a really great extension i just wish it actually worked without the manual refresh.Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 2 mesesThat should be fixed now with the new release. Try updating (version 3.0.6) and let me know if that is still happening. - Se valoró con 2 de 5por HobbyTan, hace 3 mesesI loved this extension until it stopped working. I've tried removing and reauthorizing it but it refuses to open any twitch streams automatically anymore, which is the one thing I wanted it for.

publicado el hace 2 mesesI don't know exactly what this issue is that you're referring to, but it may be fixed in the new release (version 3.0.6). Give that one a try and let me know if you're still having the issue. - Se valoró con 4 de 5por Kazu, hace 4 mesesIt was really good until the live list stopped updating completely a few days ago. Unfortunately, that made the extension unusable as it would automatically open windows for streams that were no longer live but is still marked as live on the extension. Whenever I closed the window, it would come up a few seconds later unless the extension was disabled or unfavourite the streams I wanted opening. I hope it'll get updated to fix this issue but until then I won't be using it. It was very good when it worked though.
Note: uninstalling and re-installing didn't work. Removing my authorization and re-authorizing didn't work either. I've tried to re-import the json but that also didn't work. Each time, the list of live streamers would be stuck on what it was at the time it stopped working.Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 2 mesesThere is a new version of the extension. You should try it and let me know if you have the same issues. If you do, please send me your logs (via email or GitHub issue at https://github.com/mikeyaworski/Twitch-Lurker/issues). You can get your logs by scrolling down on the right side of the extension, opening the "Logs" tab and then clicking "Export", which copies the logs to your clipboard. Paste those in a message to me and I can look into it. Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 8 mesesJust so everyone knows how entitled this review is: Kick is a bonus feature that is partially implemented by an open-source volunteer. The extension lets you view and favorite Kick channels, but doesn't auto-open the channels yet. Kick was never intended to be supported, and is not mentioned in the description or name of the extension. It is a bonus.- Se valoró con 2 de 5por Squidderf, hace 10 mesesI have concerns that this may have caused a few of my followers and a moderator to get banned from twitch. None of them were notified of a login via 2fa, none of them received emails regarding a password reset either.
To my knowledge this is the only thing shared between them.Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 8 mesesNo it didn't. All this extension does is open the Twitch page and (optionally) unmute the stream. Twitch is not banning for this behavior. Twitch doesn't ban for auto claimers of channel points, nor literal viewbots lol. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Xerxis42, hace un añoI'm using vanilla FF v139.0.1 and the twitch part, no yt or kick. The Plugin does exactly what it should. I just found a few bumps on the road. The plugin doesn't do anything after FF started, I have to open the Plugin UI at least once (in Chrome it works directly). I set up the plugin to 2 streams max, but from time to time I open a third stream on my own and the plugin starts to steal that as well and navigates to my third favorite, so I have to disable the plugin for that time.
The rest works great!Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 8 mesesThanks! I have plans to fix the issues that you've mentioned later this month. - Se valoró con 2 de 5por Floori, hace un añosince today's update the application isn't working anymore it just shows one live channel that isn't even live and a fresh install of the plugin doesn't work
- Se valoró con 1 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 18279330, hace un añoTried to set it up but couldn't. Once I log into twitch and it asks me to authorise Twitch Lurker, I click "authorize" and I just get the "we can't find this site" error message.

publicado el hace un añoAre you using vanilla Firefox or some other fork of the browser?
To make it even better would be to have an option to auto-close tabs that are not in your favs (which happens when the streamer has launch a raid for instance) or where the stream has ended.
- Se valoró con 5 de 5por woundedpoptart, hace un añothis is a very useful add-on, especially for drops. It works great for me, but occasionally I have to click refresh within twitch lurker. I give it 5 stars because I've been using it for so long, and it works for the most part
- Se valoró con 3 de 5por Lamizor, hace un añoDoesn't seem to refresh automatically when a streamer goes live unless I click on the extension icon, but still opens tabs once I click it.
- Se valoró con 2 de 5por Sanse, hace 2 añosThis Addons want way too many informations, it only need an URL for a specific channel, but it wants you to login in into Twitch, which is fine but the via Twitch it wants your Email? Which isn't necessary one bit, probably gets sold or something, no thanks
Edit: besides that, if you don't care, the UI looks fine I think and it's probably working fine too
As One cannot reply directly: The Email is literally not required and also a service cannot scope out any relevant information on Twitch via the emailRespuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 2 añosThis extension asks for the minimum possible information for it to be functional. All OAuth login systems ask for your email at the very least. That is the bare minimum (every single app gets access to this without even requesting it). If you notice on the sign in screen, the bold text is what I've requested (read your list of follows), and the unbold text is given by default, which includes your email, etc.
I couldn't care less what your email is, though. It's not even stored, but all of the code is published here as well: https://github.com/mikeyaworski/twitch-lurker
I certainly don't sell or care about your information. I make my money by doing honest work. You shouldn't go around accusing people of "probably" doing that, especially if you don't understand how technical systems work, such as OAuth. It's fair for users to not understand how it works, but it's unfair for them to make blind accusations. - Se valoró con 3 de 5por pixelPROPER, hace 2 añosDoesn't work if you follow a lot of channels. Even if I hide all the channels I don't want it to check it just never auto refreshes to check my 5 favorite channels. Only force refresh works. It worked fine on a fresh account with few follows but that doesn't help me. I wish logging in wasn't required and could set only my favorite channels manually.

publicado el hace 8 mesesI may have come across the issue for users that follow many channels. I'll have an update later this month that might address your issue with that. As for the option to not log in, unfortunately that is not possible due to Twitch's API requirements. It would be nice. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Rodi, hace 2 añosWorks perfectly, wonderful extension to support streamers you follow. I'm wondering, is there any possibility of extending this to lurk categories, so that when all followed streamers are offline it will lurk someone from a set category if available? I'm not sure if this is even possible or beyond the scope of the extension, it would be helpful with small categories that not many people stream to. Whether or not this can or would be added, cheers for such a helpful extension.
- Se valoró con 5 de 5por Blue-Sauce, hace 2 añosExcellent. I haven't been able to get opening the tab in the background to work (stream doesn't start playing), but opening in the foreground works. I might have a conflict with another extension or just be missing something for the background option.
