The Upwork Job Analyzer is a browser extension that automatically evaluates Upwork job listings against your customizable criteria to help you quickly identify which jobs are worth applying to. As you browse Upwork's job search pages or view individual job details, the extension extracts key metrics like the number of proposals, client rating, hire rate, total spending history, payment verification status, and client activity level. It then compares these values against your configured thresholds and displays an instant pass/fail verdict.

The extension works by injecting a content script into Upwork pages that uses advanced DOM parsing techniques to extract job data from Upwork's dynamic single-page application interface. On job listing pages, it uses IntersectionObserver to detect job cards as they scroll into view and highlights each card with a green or red border based on whether it meets your requirements. On job detail pages, it displays a comprehensive overlay panel showing a detailed breakdown of all requirement checks with actual vs. expected values. The extension handles Upwork's complex navigation patterns, including modal-based job views and URL changes, and includes retry logic and caching to ensure reliable performance even when content loads asynchronously.
