Our optional browser extension shows the VFM value score and price information on supported game store pages. It runs only on the following stores and nowhere else: Steam (store.steampowered.com), Epic Games Store (store.epicgames.com), the Microsoft/Xbox Store (microsoft.com, xbox.com), and the PlayStation Store (store.playstation.com).

What it reads
On a supported store page, the extension reads the game's public product identifier from the page's URL (for example the Steam app id in the address bar) and, on some stores, the currency symbol shown in the on-page price so it can match what you see. It does not read your personal information, your account, your browsing history, or any other page content.

What it sends
It sends that product identifier and your chosen currency to our lookup endpoint (vfmgames.com/api/lookup) to fetch the VFM verdict and prices for that game. The request is made without cookies or credentials, so it is not linked to any VFM Games account, and no login is required to use the extension.

What we log
We keep an aggregate, per-game counter of how often each game is looked up and whether it is in our catalog. This helps us decide which games to add next. It is not tied to you: we do not store an IP address, cookie, device id, or any identifier alongside it, and we do not build a per-user profile or a record of your browsing.

Settings
The extension uses the browser's storage permission only to save your own preferences (currency override and where the card appears). These are synced by your browser and are never sent to us. The extension shows no ads, injects no affiliate links, and does not track you across websites. You can remove it at any time from your browser's extensions page.
