One star (less is impossible) because it is impossible to choose every time the folder where save the file to download.

Been using this for years. Excellent addon, but I'm not going to pay for something that I can do for free. Uninstalled as soon as I saw the new (huge) watermark in the the top left corner.

Does nothing and requires to install some binary. Not something i expected.

I got ransomeware from this, so be warned.

I was on Youtube, trying to download a Kingdom Hearts cutscene video, and whilst it was downloading the 1080p version (which uses the companion app), my anti-virus started popping up messages saying "Threat detected, no action required". At first only 1-2 ever 10 seconds, than about 1 every second, until it finished downloading the video.

Once done, I navigated to the folder where the video was downloaded, and all of a sudden ALL the files in the folder turned into "DOCM" files and a text file appeared giving me instructions on how to retrieve my files by sending money through TOR using crypto currency.

I checked 3 other folders, wherein all files turned into DOCM files, and then immediately shut off the computer. I had to completely reformat C Drive, and reinstall Windows and everything from scratch to kill the ransomeware.

Thankfully most of my files which were not on C drive were saved due to shutting the PC of quickly, but just BE AWARE! I was not doing anything whilst downloading the Kingdom Hearts cutscene video. I was not browsing another site, and I was not downloading anything else.

So the companion app for this add-on more than likely contains ransomeware!

Total crap, even 1 star is too much! All it does is saying "companion application required". Forcing me to install some app? That's sure NOT what I expected! Most of one-line reviews here are fakes...

I installed this add-on because of the great reviews. Little did I know that it takes 15-20 minutes to 'download' a 4 minute 1080P video from youtube. The extra time is the combining of files (aggregation). After it does its aggregation you get a WATERMARK in the combined video, RUINING the entire thing! The developers say that you want to remove this watermark either don't choose the ADP option when you download or PAY them. Surprise surprise, the MAJORITY of HD videos on YOUTUBE have this ADP next icon to them. In other words, if you want download in HD you HAVE to choose the ADP version of the video. RIP-OFF! Did you guys PAY peeps for the 5 stars reviews or what?

Edit: Ok maybe was a little harsh in my review but this add-on works on other websites where the videos do not need to be combined together. Still your business model is flawed in this day/age. There are plenty of other (free) video download options out there which do not force users to do things they don't want.

Used to be a very helpful program. Very difficult to get it to stop throwing a barcode on top of videos now. I have upgraded to J dnowloader. This was a must have and is now a must skip.

Junk. It doesn't work.

I used to love this app until they started adding a QR code to the downloads and then try to sell you on purchasing their service to make a downloaded movie watchable. I was fine with ads and felt I contributed enough by giving them permission to track my usage. That's sad because this was the best video downloader out there until this crap came along. I'm not paying to be tracked. Buh bye!

Cripple-ware. Sticks a watermark in the video file unless you pay.

Takes a long time to process your video file. Others are faster.

Suddenly doesn't work in Firefox. Can't seem to recognize video in youtube.

This used to be a fantastic extension but the latest update makes it junk without add on purchase. I have no confidence that the extension will continue to work in the future even if I paid. They obviously just want more money and don't mind changing the rules to generate income.

IT'S TOO SLOW!!!

This add-on was my most-used and favourite one, but with the most recent update (7.3.6), it's not finding any videos on YouTube! When I bring up a video and click the VDH icon, it finds no videos; a Page Analysis shows three jpgs, NO videos. I've tried multiple videos and they all have the same result. Using Mozilla Firefox version 67
