The addon does what it says on the tin! It works!

To me, it feels dystopian that Alphabet can force people to view videos in a way that the original uploader never intended to. I refuse to tolerate hearing a freaky AI's interpretation of what someone is saying.

(As for the comments about how embedded videos don't work, I prefer the addon stay within the scope of youtube.com. Just click the title of the video in an embed and you're brought to the site where it'll work anyway...)

Life saver, thats all i can say, its absurd that this extension even needed to be made but works great, there is no auto translation from what i see (idk if it works on mobile and shorts but probably does too)

I reported this a few days ago, and they already fixed it:

"Youtube still translates titles of shorts if I use the 'No YouTube Shorts' addon to see shorts with the normal video layout."

Now it's working everywhere.

The translation block works as intended but the problem with the video quality being limited to 360p discourages to use it constantly. I looked at the GitHub page for the fix and that really looks annoying. Really hope you'll find a fix soon cause aside from that it's really good.

It works very well, but the same thing happens as with other add-ons: when the YouTube video is embedded in another website, the extension doesn't work, for example Watch2Gether, Discord, Twitter, and so on. I guess it's because of URL permissions.

It does what it's supposed to do (I haven't been so happy about an addon for a long time), also I would have given this addon 6* cause of the "Hallo, Ich bin Mister Beast" cause I find it hillarious using a MrBeast line and translating it into good ol' Rammstein-Sprache

The first add-on that actually performs as promised.
The only issue I have with it is that it limits the video quality to 360p, which is somewhat peculiar.

currently works fine, however the titles in the notification tab are still being translated
EDIT: now everything works fine (including the notification tab titles), and so i am giving this addon 5 stars now
EDIT 2: randomly some titles still appear to be translated...

Works as intended, happy to be rid of the ai slop translations that ruin the meaning of titles.

I was so very annoyed by audio dubbing. This extension is a saving grace.
