It works, perfectly. Just what i wanted, you just enter the channel you wanna' block, and that's it, it's blocked until you wanna' unblocked it.

Last FF update started conflicting ( often showed message "extension "ChanelBlocker" is slowing browser") and then suddenly the "X" button beside channels just disappeared 😟
Now all BS from SeweryTube just flooding all kind of trash to my "suggested" column and there's no my main instrument for kicking them out of my eyes... 😭😭😭
I found in "about:config" this bold new mark:
"gfx.blacklist.direct2d.failureid FEATURE_FAILURE_DL_BLOCKLIST_g984"

thanks for making this, i like to watch military stuff and it has a flood of fake generated videos with robotic voices. thanks for saving my sanity.

I simply cannot understand how YT recommends content for me to watch. Gender reveals, cartoons, football, kardsah!an clan, channels in a foreign language... aargh! Most irritating to scroll through the suggested videos.

And YT itself does honor my choosing not to see these channels anymore.

Well, this extension is the best one I have tried that manages to block suggested channels. I have blocked multiple channel by name, blocked by keywords, and happily report that there is no noticeable slowdown. Most importantly, YT is now watchable again. Well done to the developer, a 5 star rating is deserved.

Works as intended. I love how my fan ramps up when I open the homepage of youtube. I even received the "this extension is slowing down firefox" notification once. Watching recommendations disappear one by one is fun. Wish youtube added the block feature. Great job, wish there was not a need for it. Also the ability to sync block list with firefox account would be great, I dualboot and use multiple pcs, I have to sync them up once a week to get rid of what youtube thinks I'd watch that week

Great way to filter your YouTube feed and comments sections. Regex matching is fantastic for filtering out movie, show, or game spoilers, memey comments, and the like. Highly recommend for fine-tuning your YouTube experience (and worth learning regex for)!

Tried this since the Video Blocker ext doesn't work anymore with YT's new layout. Seems to do the trick quite nicely. Back to only seeing about 20% of the "Trending" section after removing all the garbage!

Have been using for half a year or so now and very satisfied.

EDIT: New ui elements regularly break features. Right now you can't block channels from search results as channel icons are in the way of block button. Manually adding the channel names it too much of a hassle. This happens routinely, so it would probably best to move the block button too a less crowded area of the ui permanently.

Работает отлично. Блокирует говноконтент на ютубе на 5+. Блочит по каналу и по словам в видео. Жаль, что чувствительность к регистру не работает и нет фильтра для окончании. Крч, к примеру, если приходится блокировать слово "Сиреноголовый" в видео, то блокирую все слова отдельно: сиреноголовый, Сиреноголовый, СИРЕНОГОЛОВЫЙ, сиреноголового, Сиреноголового, СИРЕНОГОЛОВОГО, siren head, Siren head, Siren Head, SIREN HEAD, SIRENHEAD и так далее. Не жалко задонатить, но я нищеброд :(

Thanks for giving the option to block YouTube channels, considering 99% of YouTube is COMPLETE BS. I've blocked about a thousand channels already!
