This is a Firefox extension called YouTube Deeplink Auto-Updater. It automatically keeps your YouTube bookmarks in sync with your watch progress, so a bookmark always resumes where you left off.
How it works:
How it works:
- When you open a bookmarked YouTube video, it detects the video ID and initial ?t= timestamp from the URL, then searches your bookmarks for one matching that same video (and timestamp, if there are multiple bookmarks for the same video) — findMatchingBookmark.
- When you pause the video, it uses the current playback time to update the bookmark.
- If you paused in the first 60 seconds (SKIP_BEFORE_SECONDS), it doesn't bother updating (not worth tracking).
- If you paused within the last 10 seconds of the video (RESET_BEFORE_END_SECONDS), it resets the timestamp to 0 (treats it as "finished").
- Otherwise, it rewrites the bookmark's t= query param to the current pause time (formatted like 1h2m3s) and moves the bookmark to the top of its folder (most-recently-used ordering).
