I have no idea if this is a difficult ask or not, but can this be made available for firefox mobile (android) pretty please?

Not planned for now, maybe in the future.
From what I read it would require to re-write some of the codebase, and it's probably not worth the pain. I don't think many people use Firefox on mobile to watch YouTube.
