WOW, love It, now you can play a short-clip (as regular video) and then move on to whatever you want. So you don't lose any more time, scrolling through infinite unrelated short-shit movies. (life is to short to waste time ;-) )

Works great and stops me from wasting an enormous amount of time chain watching shorts while still letting me watch the occasional short I care about.

Heck yes I've wanted this from the moment they made YouTube Shorts.

I used to hate the shorts UI, especially with the lack of being able to skip around for the longer "shorts", and now that's not a problem.

Un grand merci! Si seulement j'avais trouvé (pensé à chercher) cet extension plus tôt j'aurais évité un paquet de commentaire désagréable et de désabonnement (ce format short étant un enfer sur PC, mais les youtuber s'en fiche et en abuse de ouf...).
Par contre je ne comprends pas qu'une aussi grosse compagnie est fait une telle erreur... ce n'est pas comme si c'était difficile de différencier PC et smartphone...

1. click puzzle icon (extensions)
2. click Youtube-shorts-block
3. pop-up opens
4. click dots menu
5. check both boxes

No more shorts! (almost)

P.s. the pop-up doesn't scale properly with ctrl+scroll which makes it funky on 4k screens.

Still works perfectly fine on desktop for me. Not sure what other reviewers are using.

Does what it says, changes the video from shorts to normal.
Doesn't remove shelf, may need to change settings. Personally I'm fine with this, as the shelf doesn't bother me.
My problem with shorts is the missing volume slider and favourite button, which this solves perfectly.
