YouTube Viewing Limit measures playback on YouTube and YouTube embedded-player
pages to show the remaining daily allowance, pause playback when the allowance
is exhausted, and display reminders. It reads playback state and visible
preview activity on those pages. It checks the sender page's hostname to accept
messages only from YouTube; full page URLs are not stored. It does not read or
store video titles, search terms, YouTube account details, cookies, or passwords.

The add-on stores daily playback time intervals, remaining allowance, warning
state, one-time bonus state, and chosen limit in Firefox's local extension
storage. These values stay in the browser profile. A new local day replaces the
previous day's daily record. The chosen limit persists until it is changed or
the add-on's local data is removed.

The add-on does not transmit data to the publisher, analytics providers, or
other third parties. It has no account, analytics, advertisements, remote code,
or external network endpoint. Firefox and YouTube may process their own data
under their separate policies; this add-on does not control that.

The add-on does not run in private browsing windows. Users can change the
daily limit in the popup, remove the add-on, or clear its extension data using
Firefox's controls. Uninstalling or clearing the browser profile may remove
the locally stored settings and daily counter; browser backups may be managed
separately by the user or browser provider.
