    Latest version, 2.1.4, broke the Firefox extension. The 1PW extension will not open at all.

    Froze and crashed the whole Firefox process on Linux with Wayland three times in a row when trying to add (first time) and then update (the subsequent times) login details for an account.

    Worked fine up until a few days ago. Now it no longer integrates with the macOS 1Password desktop app and I can no longer use Touch ID to unlock my vaults. Went from great to hot garbage with a quickness.

    Tried to add 1Password to Firefox. Absolutely glacial process. After 10 minutes, not showing in my extensions. 1PW screens too busy and confusing.

    Something has gone horribly wrong with the extension now, taking it from 5 to 1 stars.

    It no longer integrates with the desktop application, but seems to integrate with the vaults shared via 1password.com only - I obviously don't keep any of my useful passwords there, only low value ones shared with my wife via the family subscription.

    For all my real passwords, I want to retain control so I protect and sync those files outside 1password.

    This extension works directly with 1Password.com accounts and vaults. It can and does still integrate to the desktop app, but locally stored vaults are not supported and require the old classic extension which can be obtained here: https://support.1password.com/cs/1password-classic-extension/

    We strongly recommend migrating your data into your 1Password.com account to get the best out of your 1Password and enjoy a proper experience.

    I used 1Passord for ages and it was the best experience I've had with managing passwords. Now that I use MacOS Monterey and since there is 1Password7 it's just pure trash. I can't open the classic 1Password App on my Mac (after I type in the password it gets stuck) and I'm not able to add new passwords. The 1Password7 App won't allow me to add new passwords. The extensions either in safari and in Firefox don't work at all. I don't know what I have to do to get the extensions to work. Honestly... at this point I'm so disappointed that I actually think about asking my money back since it just stopped working properly for me.

    Sorry to hear you’re having troubles with 1Password. It sounds like you might have been working with a previous 1Password version (1Password 6 or earlier) with a standalone license, and then updated to 1Password 7 when you updated your Mac.

    1Password 7 requires a 1Password.com account, which you can sign up for here: https://1password.com/sign-up

    Once you create an account and add it to the 1Password 7 app, it will be activated and autofilling should work.

    As others said before, the extension (Firefox and Chrome) is close to unusable.

    I have two 1PW accounts, company and private. Before the update it was no problem to have both accounts available at the same time. Since the update I have to unlock my private account every day before I can enter my passwords from there.

    And Chrome does not "speak" to the 1PW app, I have to type in the password to unlock the extention in Chrome although the app is open and unlocked.

    That's all very annoying and I hope they fix it soon.

    As for your different accounts, you can unlock them both if they have the same password. You can use the same password for both accounts because each account still has its own unique Secret Key, which is an additional layer of protection.

    Latest update made 1password unusable. Touchid doesn't works + integration with app doesn't work (unlock in app, doesn't unlock extension). It's time to switch to bitwarden

    Very difficult to use. Cannot work out how to make it work with passwords. Am going around in circles with adding apps that cannot be opened.

    Stuck on loading. It only opens if you have the desktop app active as well. Was wondering which one to choose between Dashlane, 1Password and BitWarden...now I have one less option to choose from.

    Worst issue is that it loses all data unexpectedly and need to find and enter the secret key from the printout stored in a safe place to regain access to the database. The expectation is that it should never lose data and only lock the vault or remove the stored secret key if instructed.

    Hey Thomas,

    The extension will “forget” your account when you clear the browser’s cache. If your browser is set to clear cache automatically every time you close it, you will need to re-authorize your account on every launch.

    If you have the 1Password desktop app installed on your computer, it can set up the extension for you on every launch without you needing to input the Secret Key every time.

    rarely will do what is helpful. often will appear when unneeded and blocks important page elements. i need the safety and security but this program is not good. it's just not worth the money.

    Hey there,

    1Password will show up and suggest autofilling not only in password fields, but also in email fields, address fields, credit cards and more.

    You can use a variety of items in 1Password to autofill everything you need online.

    In case you find 1Password’s suggestions too intrusive, you can tone it down by right-clicking the extension’s icon on the top right corner of Firefox and turn off the “Show autofill menu on field focus”. That will prevent it from showing up automatically, giving you full control over when and where it will show up!

    Doesn't work on firefox. Works decently well on chrome, but is ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS on firefix.

    Extension will not connect to 1Password app. Opening the settings and connecting to an account leads to a page where you can add a new device but the link just starts 1Password without any connection. Signing into web based account directly doesn't connect to extension.

    Fortunately the classic extension is available and this functions. Latest changes to 1Password all appear to be negative.

    As others have said, this new version of the app is unresponsive on Firefox (91.0.2), and not an improvement for Chrome, either. The classic extension works great though: https://support.1password.com/cs/1password-classic-extension/
