- Noté 5 sur 5par Falkoa, il y a 7 ansBeen using this add-on since its inception last year, very useful as I've been a heavy user of the old (and incompatible since 2017) ABH2 extension for 10 years.
My only wish since I began using Bookmark Tab Here was to be able to add a page from the bookmark sidebar... which is now possible since FF 66! 🤘🏽
The 1.0 version is pretty mature and incredibly useful, with an identifiable icon and the new sidebar bookmark feature. Awesome work, thank you! - Noté 5 sur 5par Boray Eris, il y a 7 ans

Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 8 ansIf you mean as an actual menuitem in the list of bookmarks, like it was in the legacy addon ABH2, no that is not possible with the current extension API. However, if you open the context menu of a bookmark item, BTH will appear in it's context menu, allowing you to insert the new bookmark just below the one whose context menu is open. - Noté 5 sur 5par cloyyz, il y a 8 ans

And this developer updates and responds to reviews. Remember to right-click in the folder to use the tool- see the screenshot on the add-on home-page.

- Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 6932440 de Firefox, il y a 8 ansThe name of new bookmark is often a problem. Home is still a popular name. Other new bookmarks have a cryptic name or an acronym as name. DOST for Department of Science and Technology
It is always necessary to control the new bookmark.
Is it possible to see the new bookmark to change the name before or direct after the insertation?Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 8 ansI plan to add the ability to change the name (title) when bookmarking single tabs (as opposed to multi-selected or all tabs) in a future version of BTH. - Noté 5 sur 5par McGregorTheBiker, il y a 8 ansSo far I haven't got an account on this site, but I wanted to give this add-on 5 stars, hence I created one. I can confirm that the newer Firefox versions are better, than the old ones, faster, more reliable, but I was missing the "Add bookmark here" add-on so much, I switched back to an older version of ESR. Unfortunately I had performance issues, I had to switch back to the newer version. I was looking for an extension that allows me to create bookmarks easier. Yes, dear Firefox Mozilla, your bookmarking is ridiculous! Thanks custom.firefox.lady for "Bookmark Tab Here", it saves a lot of time and frustration.
- Noté 5 sur 5par brain8891, il y a 8 ansWorks, but it doesn't work on an empty folder.
Edit:
Well I see that, it would be nice if Mozilla allowed developer to have the option to add Menu-item in an empty folder space. Custom.firefox.lady, please suggest that to them because it is more intuitive to click inside the empty folder.
Suggestions:
1- the "Library" context menu does not have "Bookmark Tab here" I think it is possible with the current API, so why not? Why it is important to me? Because sometimes I bookmark many tabs to a certain folder. I can open that certain folder in the Library window and every time I am on an active tab I could navigate to the Library window and "Bookmark Tab (T)here". I have so many nested folders, Navigating them every time I want to bookmark a tab is tedious.
Thanks for your hard work <3Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 8 ansYou need to right-click the folder itself to add a bookmark to it. An empty folder does not yet have any menuitems inside it to right-click in order to make the "Bookmark Tab Here" item appear in the context menu. Right-clicking the "Empty" notation will not work and it is not possible for me to change that.
Edit: "Bookmark Tab Here" does not appear in the Library context menu due to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1419195
An alternative would be to drag/drop the item you wish to bookmark, into the Library. - Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 12897251 de Firefox, il y a 8 ansShould be core component
- Noté 5 sur 5par avea, il y a 8 ansThank you so much. This may get me using Firefox again. I haven't used it for over a year because of the lack of a feature like this and a couple of others. I have been using Palemoon which supports the older extensions, but there are some other issues with it.
Not as powerful as "Add bookmark here" but light years ahead of what Firefox offers.
This should be built in. Other browsers have it built in. Konqueror, for one.
Come on Firefox. Time to move beyond 1997. - Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 14054542 de Firefox, il y a 8 ansThe only reason that makes me dump the 55.0.3 ver. Bravo!
