It doesn't read the board at all.

The extension works specifically on chess.com for Puzzles, Bots, and online games. Please scan the board only when it is your turn to play. As the project is open-source, you may open an issue on the GitHub page if the issue persists.

works great, only issue is that it seems that it can't play as black
