Privacy Policy — Clean Bing
Last updated: 2026-08-30
Clean Bing is a browser extension that hides clutter on bing.com. Your privacy is simple to describe because the extension is built to need nothing from you.
What we collect
Nothing. Clean Bing does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal or usage data.
Specifically, the extension does not:
Collect personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
Collect health, financial, authentication, or location information
Read, record, or transmit your searches, browsing history, or page content
Use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers
Create an account or require a sign-in
Send any data to the developer or to any third-party server
How it works
Clean Bing runs entirely on your own device, only on pages under ://.bing.com/*. It applies CSS rules and a small content script that hide elements (the MSN feed, Rewards banners, trending widgets) and reset the search box placeholder to "Search". All of this happens locally in your browser. No network requests are made by the extension, and no information ever leaves your computer.
Permissions
The extension requests only a content script match for ://.bing.com/*, which lets it modify the appearance of Bing pages you visit. It requests no other permissions.
Data sharing
Because no data is collected, no data is shared with anyone.
