Some early teething problems with the new version, mostly on my end. Great support from the creator!

I had donated multiple times over the last few years and recently purchased the revised Windows desktop version.

The desktop version works very well and the support is excellent. There is a current problem with the auto-updating that the developer hopes to resolve.

A remaining issue is the confusion between the extension and the desktop version which is not explained. When I installed the desktop version the extension no longer worked. On this page the desktop version is not referenced I'm so not sure if this page is just out of date. In any case the cost of the desktop version is $25 and well worth it.

This addon used to be a good one. But for more than 10 months now we are waiting for an update that makes it work again. I understand that yt has made big changes and that these changes are hard to compensate. But for more than 10 months now the author says on his homepage: "An update to the addon will be pushed in a few days..."

This is no fun any more!

It worked one, but after I upgraded, it has not worked at all. It just spins around then quits.

No longer works in any way. The "Download as" thing never shows up in the page, and clicking on the toolbar icon just puts up an endless "Generating download link, pls. wait..." mini-window. As with all downloader extensions, this is in an arms race, and right now YouTube is winning. Virtually all of them are failing lately, but this one is failing worse that most, in not even putting up the interface elements it's supposed to, much less actually extracting video DL code.

Doesn't work anymore ! :-(

Installed this today 13/02/2025 and it doesn't work, either first off, by Refreshing the page several times, or by using it in a Private Window. It do no get the download button lin the Like/Dislike line, or anywhere else that I can see it. I'm using Firefoz 115.20.0esr (64 Bit).
