Fresh mozilla install. Mendeley does not open when pressing the logo. Works fine in chrome

I've been using this extension for a few years. It works fine mostly and is a time-saver. But recently, the extension has an annoying problem. I am using mac and have multiple desktop screens. When I use this extension, it will automatically shift Firefox to a different desktop screen. Can you fix this?
