Not sure if @Koledaloli looked at the settings or not. But everything they wanted is able to be done in settings, or at least I managed to do it as it too was my prefereed set-up.
The settings I used; imgur.com/a/PiHYM0O - Noté 1 sur 5par Koledaloli, il y a 2 ansLong frustrated rant incoming.

Wtf, why is this so unnecessarily complex when it comes to reddit comment images ? In fact, I would prefer if when I right click the image and click 'save Webp as PNG', it instantly does exactly just that, instead of this multi-options crap that won't even appear correctly like in this case. Also, the UI for it is very ugly and unprofessional.
Also, don't tell me to right click open in new tab the image. Reddit has this stupid issue when it comes to images inside comments where doing that will lead to a broken link (imgur.com/a/Wa7FDhH). F*ck reddit for automatically converting PNGs into WEBPs.
It's a shame that the entire of Firefox only has this as WEBP-to-PNG extension. I'm specifically having to dual use another Chromium browser just because Chrome extension store has another WEBP-to-PNG extension that does EXACTLY just what simple request I wanted. mis en ligne : il y a 2 ansFirst, I didn't realize the button bar was scrunched in a way that makes it unusable on those images. I'll have to investigate.
Second, by default, if you Shift+click the menu item, it bypasses the button bar and saves as PNG. You can change which action occurs on a plain click versus Shift+click in the options. (Another reviewer shared an example of where to change this: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/save-webp-as-png-or-jpeg/reviews/2120797/ )
I have a couple pending requests to have sub-menus as an alternative to a button bar, since not everyone finds that design attractive, but I haven't found time to work on that. - Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18597364 de Firefox, il y a 2 ansdoes exactly what it says with a simple additional context menu so i don't have to fight with webps anymore. dev is also way too kind to the ignorant 1 star reviews, deserves 6/5 stars for that alone lol.

- Noté 4 sur 5par SlickStretch, il y a 2 ansMy only complaint is that I don't like the format/options display. I would really like an option to make the format/options part of the right-click context menu.
- Noté 5 sur 5par The_WhO, il y a 2 ansBest of best! These shitty websites like webp because hate users, very simple, nice work with transparent images, even can compress image.
- Noté 1 sur 5par Islam Nurmagomedov, il y a 2 ansTrash, can't retain background transparency of PNG, instead turn into black bg.

mis en ligne : il y a 2 ansIs this a problem with pasting? Firefox does something weird with the transparent areas of PNGs when pasting. You may need to save those or use a different format. (Bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=460969)
If it's a problem with saving, could you share the address of a problem image? You can contact me either at jscher2000@outlook.com or start a new issue thread on https://github.com/jscher2000/Save-webP-as-extension/issues - Noté 5 sur 5par MELISSATITANIUM, il y a 2 answonderful addon!!! i like to archive art from my favorite creators & this helps make the process a lot faster for me, and i imagine many others who do similar things.
i've seen other people ask about this, but if you do ever add a feature for single click saving i'd be very excited! it's incredibly generous of you to make this extension, i hope you have a lovely day. - Noté 1 sur 5par AdSpeedupDoesntWork, il y a 2 ansdoesn't work most of the time - I get this: "Permission to inject script was denied"
Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 2 ansI know about two times you could expect to see that: (1) restricted sites like Mozilla sites, and (2) sites that protect themselves from extension scripts using the "sandbox" security policy (#2 was fixed in Firefox 128).
Do you want to share some example URLs by sending them to jscher2000@outlook.com or posting in this thread: https://github.com/jscher2000/Save-webP-as-extension/issues/30 - Noté 5 sur 5par NBA20, il y a 2 ansWorks very well but wish those buttons that pop-up were sub-menus in the right click context menu. Would look better in my opinion.
- Noté 5 sur 5par AlwaysThinking, il y a 2 anspng not working? jpg work just fine. i have tested on this page: https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/warframe/images/d/d8/KhraRequiemIcon.png and i dont think it's png

mis en ligne : il y a 2 ansI haven't noticed any problem saving a PNG on images I have tested, but I did notice that when the WebP image is huge/complex, the file can be very large and take a long time to generate/save (JPG 6.7 MB vs. PNG 25.5 MB). If you notice any pattern to the problem, could you let me know at jscher2000@outlook.com or start a new issue at https://github.com/jscher2000/Save-webP-as-extension/issues/. - Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 6024995 de Firefox, il y a 2 ans
- Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18513119 de Firefox, il y a 2 ansWorks like a charm, no idea what problem people have. You right click the image and can already see the little icon of this app, where it says save webP as...
You gotta activate it to allow functioning in private mode. Réponse du développeur

- Noté 1 sur 5par Me, il y a 2 ansDoesn't go to the last folder saved in like the standard save dialog. No option for that in the settings. Uninstalled.
Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 2 ansThis combination of settings will accomplish that:
Save Dialog / AutoSave Options
Show Save As dialog each time => "Yes"
Save Path Options
Initial or Autosave folder => "Directly in my downloads folder"
I need to update the text on the Options page to clarify that. - Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18462017 de Firefox, il y a 2 ansThis is not a recent problem, but when I try to download an image with very large dimensions (for example 720x14850) with the Save webP as PNG or JPEG option, it only downloads part of the image (720x8190) and the rest (the lower part of the image) is transparent
Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 2 ansThank you for this report. I believe Firefox does have *some* limit on the size of an image it will draw on or extract from an HTML canvas (which is how the conversion is done). Still, 8190 seems too short, since my test image is 720x22000 and that one works fine when I open it stand-alone in a tab.
When you are saving the image in its original page, I wonder whether a style rule can affect the height? Maybe you can send me an example URL of where the problem occurs, either in a new issue at https://github.com/jscher2000/Save-webP-as-extension/issues/ or by email at jscher2000@outlook.com. - Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13961419 de Firefox, il y a 2 ansWas working great for a long time, but recently had some weird issues with it. It keeps download fragments of images rather than the full image, very strange.
Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 2 ansHi, that is strange. There is an open issue related to only getting a quarter of a zoomed product image on at least one site. Maybe it is a related problem? Feel free to add example URLs to the open issue at https://github.com/jscher2000/Save-webP-as-extension/issues/10 (or you can email me at jscher2000@outlook.com if you don't want to create a Github account).
Meanwhile, does it work any better if you open the image in a new tab before trying to convert?
*UPDATE*
Hopefully the next update (1.5.2) will fix this. - Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 16318253 de Firefox, il y a 2 ansBy default, I'd better have saving as .png in a regular download folder (not the webp special folder). But it can be fixed in a sec via settings.
