Privacy Policy
This product does not collect, store, or share any personal or sensitive user data.
Permissions
storage — Used to save the timer state, focus statistics, user preferences (pomodoro length, daily goal, notification sound, theme, and language) and license status locally on the device.
alarms — Used to keep the countdown running while the panel is closed, to deliver the end-of-session reminder, to refresh the license periodically, and to check for product notices.
notifications — Used to tell you that a pomodoro has finished. This is the only way you learn the session is over when the panel is closed.
Optional host permissions (https:///, http:///) — Requested only if you choose to sync through a storage endpoint of your own. Nothing is requested at install time: the permission is asked for the single origin you enter when you save a storage configuration.
Local data storage
Your pomodoro settings and focus statistics (the number of completed pomodoros and the focus time per day) are stored locally on the device. The web version keeps them in the browser's local storage; the browser extension keeps them in extension storage. No page content, browsing history, or any other information about your activity is ever read or recorded.
Bring your own storage
Cross-device sync is optional and off by default. When you turn it on, you supply your own storage endpoint, and your settings and focus statistics are exchanged directly between your devices and that endpoint. We operate no sync server, never receive that data, and never see the endpoint's credentials — they are stored only on your device. The running timer itself is never synced; each device runs its own.
Network communication
Apart from a storage endpoint you configure yourself, the product only communicates with our first-party servers. api.sovkit.com handles optional Pro license management, which occurs when you explicitly initiate a purchase or activate a license key; the only data sent is the license key, a device identifier, and an email address during checkout. data.sovkit.com hosts a static announcement file that is downloaded periodically to show product notices; this request sends no data about you and returns the same file for everyone.
