This add-on is a life saver! i have a 10mbit connection that is not constant in download.
With this addon i can increase the buffer specifying the goodness of the connection and stream never stop.

Awesome add-on. Way more convenient then streamlink and streamlink twitch gui.

Twitch showing splash screens because apparently Jeff Bezos is going broke and really needs the ad revenue from Twitch Affiliates who don't even get a piece of the ad money anyway. Nothing like modding a channel that gets interrupted every ten minutes because twitch wants to have a QQ fest about using ad and tracker blockers.

also confirming to get addon to work again, all you need to do is remove the add on and re-add it.

Very good extension for weak computers and laptops. I have performance issues on default twitch player but with this all works fine.

Works great. Only problem is it doesn't join raids. Also a new development that twitch must have released in the past few days. Some streamer channels don't load with the addon and when you manually start the addon, it says The stream has ended. They are live at the time. Update: It's a new DMCA setting that streamers need to enable to stream Amazon Prime videos. So, I don't expect this to get fixed.

The addon works nicely again! When tuning into a stream with ads, it says "Hiding ads" for 15 seconds. But instead of waiting 15 secs I can press [pause] and then [play] again so the stream starts without ads or long waiting time.

edit: I haven't seen a single ad or "hiding ad" since yesterday, I believe. Maybe they're gone completely now?

After so many years, they still find a way to beat the twitch algorithm and provide us with an add-free experience. Thank you.

How do I use the external player functionality?
I use it to boost the volume. I wonder if the extension can do that aswell.
Also, what about supporting 100% transparency instead of 80% max?

I copy and paste the news about problem ads. You can find down on any video, with extension active, click to bell to read: "In September, Twitch started to fight ad blockers, including my extension. The extension uses special tricks to block ads. In turn, Twitch blocks every trick it seen. After that, I need a few days to find a new trick. Plus, you need to wait until the new version of the extension will be published in the store. Google and Microsoft require up to 7 days, Mozilla 1 day. All this time, you see ads in the expansion player.

The number of tricks is limited and at the moment Twitch has blocked almost everything. Therefore, in the next version of the extension, I will add a more reliable, but less effective way to hide ads. During the ads, playback may pause for a few seconds and you will see the message “Skipping ads”.

Unfortunately, Twitch rarely shows ads in my region, so I cannot test the ad hiding feature myself. I need volunteers to test the beta versions of the extension. They should: be able to think logically, often see ads in the extension, install extensions not from the store (I will give instructions), describe the test results in detail. Great add-on, works great, makes Twitch watching responsive, customizable, with it chat works better. I recommend to check-out this add-on highly.

The best application to evade ads, Although these last days (it does not work), streamers are saturating with ads excessively, and hopefully they can solve the significant backwardness that is in the live.
I know I am not in a position to demand since I am not a donor, but I am not financially well off to support this great Extension. I just hope they can "solve soon" why many streamers abuse ads.
