- Noté 3 sur 5par Mountaineer 007, il y a 2 heuresI use this extension in Opera and Firefox both. Seems to work OK in Opera, not working that well in Firefox. I originally got it and V3 extension to get back the old layout of YouTube - the player at the top, comments below left, suggested videos below right (when in the wide player mode). V3 is all kinds of buggy so I don't use it. Except when a page for some reason, I don't have any idea WHY, switches my youtube back to the 'new layout'.
I use V3 in firefox to restore the old layout, then disable it, because it lets you click the 'see more' button just fine for comments, but on the 'recommended videos' list on the right, sooner or later, it hangs up and the spinning circle icon just spins and spins and spins.
I don't use this extension in Firefox and I only give it a rating of 3 for 2 reasons. If that could be fixed, I would give it a 4 or 5. First is, as I said before, in Firefox this extension makes youtube behave kind of unstable/buggy.
The second reason I don't use this extension in either browser is because of a behavior/layout shortcoming in the recommended videos list on the right. Which is something V3 DOES get right. Before on YouTube, the link to each new video included the number of views, channel the video was in, age (how long ago the video was posted), that's all I can remember but there could have been additional things it had in the link.
So, when I used another extension, Linkclump, to copy the links from the suggested video list to save to an HTML file for later viewing, on the old layout the link would have all of this additional information in it, by default or 'natively' from YouTube. This feature is very important to me, helps me know more about the video links, for picking the ones I want to watch from the HTML list of video links on youtube that I saved.
V3 restores this behavior, so when I use that extension to restore the 'old layout', I get this additional information in the link, and I can pick videos from the HTML page easier and pull up what I want. YouTube Redux does NOT restore that behavior to the links for recommended videos. So, I just get the link to the video (with the title showing as the link of course so not just the plain link, so that part is good).
The instability I am talking about for YouTube Redux when using it for the YouTube site is that, simply put, it doesn't restore the old layout either for me. I can refresh the page 100 times, I don't get back the old layout. It sticks to the new layout, and changes any other youtube vids in other tabs to the new layout automatically. So it doesn't seem to be working for me at all in Firefox.
If we could figure out why it isn't restoring the old YouTube layout, and if you could somehow put this additional information back into the link title itself like YouTube used to do (title, length of time of the video, channel it is in, number of views, and the time it was posted to youtube [12 hours ago, 5 days ago, 3 months ago, you get the picture]), then I would love to start using this extension again. - Noté 4 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 17181677 de Firefox, il y a 17 joursDespite occasionally breaking minor cosmetic features whenever Youtube's UX designers remember that they need to justify their existence, this addon keeps its core functions quite well.
The newest update, however, seems to have broken some things:
- Homepage video tiles appear to have their contents smashed together too much, to the point where channel avatars and titles touch the bottom of the thumbnails. Ditto for channel video subpages and the navigation bars of channel pages.
- Channel video pages have too much side padding on high resolution monitors, causing the video tiles to be forced together and compressed. I don't know if this is from the addon or the way the page works but if the padding could be done away with, the channel pages would look much better.
- On the video page, the channel description changes that used to trigger with the "Extra layout changes" option toggled ON seems forced to always be enabled as long as the addon is active. This wouldn't be much of a problem but often the rearranged icons and interactable tiles in the decsription are smashed together, seemingly at random.
- Video category selection tiles in the right side video sidebar appear much reduced in size, barely fitting their text and being less convenient to click.
- This is not an outright complaint but an option for this would be appreciated for navigability, but the addon suppressing the reddit style comment reply line and nesting indicators make visual navigation of the comments more difficult. It was probably the one UI change that Youtube's team didn't fumble the dog on. - Noté 4 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18989373 de Firefox, il y a 19 joursComment margins need to be fixed, but I like the look overall.

It may not bring back the old YouTube layout exactly, but it feels just like it.

- Noté 4 sur 5par be-each, il y a 5 moisReally excited to have found this extension. I tweak major sites like Gmail with Stylebot all the time. It's great we can make selections for this extension. Can you please add an option for rounded corners for the video thumbnails?
- Noté 4 sur 5par Civilyc, il y a 5 moisAmazing, but the only bad side of it is that the video views are still abbreviated. Other than that the addon is truly delightful.
- Noté 3 sur 5par steveharringtonfan, il y a 5 moisit makes youtube look like old youtube but it makes youtube INCREDIBLY slow. it takes like 30 years for it to switch to a different video.
- Noté 3 sur 5par pjskFA, il y a 5 moisGood extension for the most part, but recently I've been having this issue where the prompt to open live chat won't appear even if I enable it in settings. When I uninstalled the extension it started working again so now I'm just confused on whats happening

- Noté 5 sur 5par Dorothy, il y a 7 moisThis extension is just pure bliss. Seriously, this made me love YouTube even more than I do anyways now and I can just feel myself getting whole every minute while using this extension. You should absolutely get this right now, however you have to set it up, otherwise it looks REALLY oldschool!
- Noté 5 sur 5par Pradeen Krishna, il y a 7 moisWhat an amazing extension is this. My YouTube is now blazingly fast. Please keep doing the good work in the name of Humanity that companies like google fails because they prioritize profits over people. This extension also made YouTube on Firefox faster because google is known to slow down YouTube on non-chromium based browsers through their Polymer JS framework.

- Noté 1 sur 5par Bery_CZ, il y a 7 moisCant change terrible large videoplayer UI back to old one. Only thing I downloaded it for.
- Noté 4 sur 5par callum, il y a 7 moisVery good extension that makes the UI much easier to wrangle, but it sometimes disables the ability to pop out the video from the tab which is very annoying. Otherwise really good product.
(If I'm just missing a setting then I am really sorry) - Noté 5 sur 5par killjoyyzz, il y a 7 mois
- Noté 5 sur 5par Anon, il y a 8 moisGreat add-on, removes much of the ugliness that the "modern" UI tries to force on you.
If I could make a request, could you add the option to hide the "includes paid promotion" pop-up that appears when you hover over certain thumbnails? With the smaller thumbnails that this add-on gives you, it makes it very easy to accidentally click that pop-up instead of the video when you want to watch something. - Noté 5 sur 5par Vin, il y a 8 mois
