I had installed this AdBlocker Ultimate + Ghostery (now selling your data) + some pop-up blocker. Ublock single-handedly defeated them, blocking unwanted popups even.

I'm grateful to the AdBlock people for offering a free (as in freedom) product. But another one worked much better under difficult circumstances.

It gets the job and keeps out of the way. It does its assigned job which what software is suppose to do. My credentials - I have been working with hardware and software since the bad old days when Main Frames ruled the roost.

Not bad but still getting an ad or two on some sites that have video content.

Ad blocker is great and functions quietly in the background, only problem now is that a lot of websites 'detect' your ad-blocker and ask you to turn it off, mostly not a problem apart form the ones that won't let you access their www whilst it is turned on! Not sure what the answer to that is other than boycotting their sites!

I have been using AdBlocker for several years. Its function can't be seen, however, it does work well, I think.
