You're great, Kevin Röbert. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Mattew, 6 jierren lynI am really happy that this extension now is on the Mozilla Recommended list! Great work!
- Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch aviva, 6 jierren lynThis is really good! When i click a link in my mail, it cleaned of the weird long links that im sure is a tracking link. This extension should really be among the recommended by mozilla.

You're good at guessing. Mozilla has a little surprise in the next weeks for ClearURLs ;) - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 13492323, 6 jierren lyn

One issue I found (couldn't find a place to report the bug) is that it breaks the forwarding for email links generated by the Twitter news aggregator nuzzel.com; a manual whitelist feature would be a great way to deal with edge cases like that.
*EDIT - above issue seems fixed; but whitelist feature would still be great.* - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Henrique Sant'Anna, 7 jierren lyn
- Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 15076628, 7 jierren lynIt is nice but i can't understand why it does not work with Twitter ref urls. Also the "cleaning tool" does not work with Twitter, there is a reason?
EDIT: now it works like a charme, thanks!Antwurd ûntwikkeler
7 jierren lyn pleatstThanks for your positive feedback. I've added a rule for the twitter ref urls :) - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 15109409, 7 jierren lynIts the best set and forget URL cleaner out of the top 5 or 6 or so I have tested! 130+ patterns and counting, giving it wide coverage, on top of that, though not based on global algorithms, its patterns offer SOME fail safe functionality similar to "Skip Redirect!". Only thing I would ask for is a setting to disable ad blocking. Not a huge issue but Adblocking dirties the log and stats with redundant information... most users using this extension will already use an adblocker. Best URL Cleaner, IMO!
[update: I have found this addon does block some domains on amazon for example that ublock does not... increasing user privacy] - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch tmk333, 7 jierren lyn

- Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 13371234, 7 jierren lynI was previously using a different addon, Neat URL. I disabled that one so I could give ClearURLs a proper try. However, I realized that every time I restart Firefox, ClearURLs gets disabled, and Neat URL is re-enabled. Suspecting some sort of misbehavior from Neat URL, I fully removed Neat URL. However, even after that, ClearURLs is still showing as disabled in my addons list every time I restart Firefox. What's going on? I've never seen this behavior with any other addon.
EDIT: I figured out what was going on. Back when Mozilla had the certificate debacle that resulted in addons getting disabled en masse for everyone, I made my extensions.json file read-only as an attempt to keep my addons forcibly enabled. After the official fixes from Mozilla, I forgot to uncheck "read-only" from extensions.json. ClearURLs was the first new addon I've tried since that time. Anyway, when I tried to disable all my addons as a test, they came up as re-enabled when I restarted Firefox. That's when I finally suspected my extensions.json. So, I realized that was still read-only. Fixing that, now everything is working as expected. I'll update my ClearURLs rating to 5-stars. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 12836761, 7 jierren lynA well written, good looking, easy to use, add-on.
On checking the log, having used ClearURLs for some time, it was great to see how it was busily removing tracking info from so many links.

- Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch X C, 7 jierren lynI have encountered an odd problem with my browser that it loses connection every time I play an embedded media (e.g. YouTube) on a webpage. After scanning my computer and testing my addons one by one, I have found that the problem only exists when this addon is enabled. I have used this addon for quite some time and it is a recent problem.
Edit: I haven't been able to reproduce this issue since updating to the latest version today so I'm giving this addon 5 stars instead. It has been really helpful in keeping the URLs clean.Antwurd ûntwikkeler
7 jierren lyn pleatstCan you please describe your problem in more details. The best way to do this is to open an issue at the gitlab page of ClearURLs or email me to clearurls_1@kevinroebert.de and please add the log to your report. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch sastanin, 7 jierren lyn
