To all who are coming here from I Don't Care About Cookies due to Avast buyout:

These add-ons do entirely different things!

IDCAC simply hides the pop-ups so they don't annoy you, it doesn't deny them. Cookies can still be stored.

Consent-O-Matic actually performs the logic to explicitly *deny* the cookies for you automatically, as well as hiding the pop-up.


This is a functionally better extension anyway, so it's a good thing that people are switching.

Just wanted to drop this note here because people seem to think they do the same thing, when they do not.

Works very well for me. Good riddance to the well-known one that is now owned by Avast!

Seems to work only on English language sites, it doesn't work on German and Polish sites. When it does work, it works well.

Sadly doesn't work at all, I get cookie prompts everywhere with the temporary containers.

Incredible. Doesn't work everywhere but you can't expect it to either. The fact that it works as well as it does is a goddamn miracle.

Found the alternative for the other addon that got sold to avast.

The developer is about to start having A LOT more users on the extension.

Let's just hope Avast doesn't get this one too.
