im pleased to say that this addon/extension is beautiful and shows clearly the folks i can and cannot trust

love it hopefully people stop negative review bombing it

my main issue would that people are marked green for being famous but almost every single red marking is justified

This extension is consistently extremely useful for rooting out people who have corrosive opinions. The low scores tend to be because the exact people that are marked as red have a tendency to lash out in the form of review bombing.

Notably: this extension is very good at marking transphobia generally, but with a focus on transmisogyny. There aren't a lot of systems to protect trans women these days, so this is an extremely encouraging tool.

Generally, the review bombing on this is disappointing. My assumption is that the goal here is to muddy the water on this extension or to get it taken down. It's consistently disappointing to see my community act like this.

At the end of the day, this is a tool to protect trans communities. If you're here for that, it's going to help with that. But it's only a tool, and it can only be as effective as a tool

Great extension that works as intended. Don't mind the misinformation being spread by transphobes and transmisogynysts claiming it's false flagging people, it's not.

In my experience most of the negative reviews come as a result of Shinigami Eyes being very good about catching transphobia directed at trans women. When you prioritize the most vulnerable those who previously saw themselves in that position often grow frustrated. This is still a great way to understand who you're interacting with online. Don't be a trans-misogynist if you want to remain green - pretty simple <3

A lot of people are claiming this extension no longer works. This is either misinformed or a lie. Shinigami Eyes *is* marking a lot of transmasc and intersex people as red, but only because those people are harassing, denigrating, abusing, stalking, and/or otherwise speaking out against trans women in a transmisogynistic way. Transmisogynistic people, hiding behind their intersex and/or transmasculine identity, are upset because they are being correctly labelled as transphobic.

This thing is getting a lot of bad reviews due to the concept of "men benefit from misogyny" paired with "trans men are, in fact, men" causing them to hold systemic power over trans women despite both experiencing transphobia. The way that trans women experience both misogyny and transphobia yields the unique combination known as transmisogyny, basic intersectionality stuff, and this tool being used to mark transmisogynists who despite ostensibly being good on "trans issues" participate in transmisogynistic posting etc has gotten non-transfem people invested in their own perception of inculpability up in arms.

Works well. I always take it with a grain of salt (always checking the person marked). I've used the extension for many years, and have only found a handful of instances where it was obvious as a miss-flag, otherwise seemed pretty accurate. The creator does kinda suck though. Though I don't use Tumblr, so that might be why it's been fairly fine for me. I've heard that it can be pretty hit or miss there as people use it against each other.

A lot of people are rating this 1 star because they are being correctly flagged as transmisogynists. Shinigami Eyes is working as intended, and they're big mad about it.

Not something to follow religiously, but does a pretty decent job of letting you know when to take extra caution around certain accounts.

Unfortunately it's currently getting review-bombed becuase a very small number of tumblr transmasc/intersex people got flagged red after repeatedly saying anti-transfem things, and so have been trying to convince everyone the extension has an agenda against them all. I've found it to be pretty accurate though.

this extension is an excellent flag that signals to me that i need to dig deeper into a person's stances on trans people before sharing their content online. contrary to many of these reviews, the moderation is extremely consistent; it is simply that whoever's doing the moderation is focused on preventing transmisogyny (as they should be). the website itself states, "Don't assume someone is not transphobic just because they are trans or non-binary themselves." every single trans person i've seen marked red on shinigami eyes or complaining about a false flag has indeed had transmisogynistic rhetoric on their blog. this extension isn't wrongfully marking anyone; you simply disagree with the moderator(s) when it comes to what is or isn't transphobic. personally, this extension has helped me block terfs i see in my notifications so that my posts don't gain traction in their circles, which has been massively useful over the years. thank you shinigami eyes!

has its uses, got recommended by this really cool cis dude. it's always a delight to stumble upon a celebrity marked green when i least expect it. no clue what the recent enmity's about, this thang makes the web a little less scary......

One star reviewers are mad that their transmisogyny is being highlighted. Would advise you to ignore them if you are a serious person. This is a very useful extension that I refuse to go without in my browser.
