I've always thought it would be cool if something like this existed, and this addon has lived up to everything I'd always wanted it to be! So far it's helped me skip 510 sponsor/promotion segments total, and I've helped others skip 357!

There are public stats for how many segments have been submitted, and how much total time has been skipped (so far, over 2.8 million submissions and 407 years "saved"), which makes it satisfying to submit your own skips (I now see an unskipped sponsorship as an opportunity to contribute rather than an annoyance), as you can always click the icon to see your own personal stats.

Even if you don't care about submitting stuff yourself, this system gets other people to care, which makes the experience better for everyone. It also seems there's adequate moderation in place to prevent pointless skips, as I've yet to see a single video containing fraudulent skips. You can even "revise" skips submitted by others if you feel like it.

Wonderful addon, have already recommended to friends.

The idea is nice, but lately I had to switch everything to "manual skip" because the voting system apparently somewhat "works" on popular videos only.
The amount of ppl adding segments seemingly at random/labeling them incorrectly seems to increase lately (I had 0 problems ~1 year ago).
I don't know if they are just idiots with the urge to do something, or are (tinfoil) actively trying to discredit the addon, and I don't care tbh.
As smn said: "If I downvote an inaccurate segment, please make it NOT show up ever again". That's what I'm looking for in any upcoming alternative.
