Adding to similar feedback from other users. Since a recent update, this extension no longer works in Firefox. I have tried removing and reinstalling the extension, etc. Nothing happens when you click on the extension, and no autofill of passwords on websites either. It is useless now (whereas it was almost perfect before) As this feature is an essential element of the membership we are paying for, this clearly needs to be fixed.

1Password Firefox extension was updated July 15, 2025. The 1Password Firefox extension now no longer works. Clicking on the 1Password icon in the Firefox toolbar does NOTHING.

I cannot add a 1Password account to the extension if it has MFA enabled on it. When trying, the extension setup simply sends me to the 1 Password Web UI and does not store the account in the extension.

Been trying to recover my wife's account for almost 6 months. Nothing you tell me to do recovers this account. I have tried and so has she but there is a problem with with the directions. The items you say are suppose to pop up don't. The BOT is useless as is the help you try to provide by clicking on help. Can't speak to a human and when getting the code for them to email you. It takes days for them to help. Very unhappy with 1 Password.

When and if it works it's great; however, that's less than 50% of the time. I have to keep opening the program and copy and pasting the passwords into the websites. This is a real hassle, I've tried to correct it, but none of the suggestions have worked.

12/17/2025: This crappy extension can't get any more crappy. In Waterfox browser, which uses the Firefox backbone, Touch ID to open the extension doesn't work. Even worse, in the extension's settings, it says the the extension isn't integrated with the 1Password desktop app. What the hell!?!?

5/30/25 update: Extremely strange and annoying that adding a login via the browser extension is visible in only the desktop app--not the browser extension in which I added the new login. I did this twice. I had to quit Firefox for the new login to show up in the browser extension. This extension obviously needs a lot of work; it's still at the amateur level.

Extremely finicky and buggy extension. Touch ID STILL randomly goes away as an option to open the browser extension, not on only on Firefox but also on other browsers. I used to have to open the desktop app to open or use the extension, or disable then enable the extension. Now doing so doesn't help. And yes, Touch ID is selected in settings. What's the use of the Touch ID option if it randomly doesn't work? The extension is good when it decides it wants to work.

Does not work! I recently switched to Firefox after years of using Chrome. 1Password is very key for me so the fact that this extension is broken may lead me back to Chrome.

Not appearing as add on/extension

on Android, Firefox let me install this add-on not even days ago and yet there no settings to be found anywhere within the browser! Every other add-on has options except this one, as a result, it is unusable

Why not keep sign up simple? I do not need to read a whole lot of your selling content AFTER I have already made up my mind. I am not giving you additional personal information. That's creepy. Keep it simple. If it weren't for the Tom's Guide recommendation I would not be here anyway. Learn when to stop selling.

Honestly I hate it. It works just well enough to keep using, but there's literally no polish, nothing is nice to use, it just sucks the entire time you're dealing with it.

Clients that paid a licence (not subscription!) abandoned since e long time and now the extention does't work anymore. 1Password? No thanks. they never swindle me again.

Between 1password company that left their Desktop extension clients without any support for years and all the updates and the STRICT policies of Mozilla disabling and not allowing you to install old 1password extension (1Password-4.7.6.1.xpi) AKA 1Password 7 version I end up disabling Firefox Updates since version 130. That is the only way I can have 1Password 7 working with Firefox.

So this is now the new paradigm of open source and freedom where the Browser disables add-ons you rely on every bloody day. Thanks Fuckzilla

often pops up and seems like it saved a password for a site I use, but actually it doesnot save the password. I use 1password 7.

Made the mistake of having auto updates on. this extension no longer supports version 7 and a paid subscription is required to use the tool. Pointless now. Do not use.

No more work with 1Password 7 :( :( :(
