Utjûn op 29 sep. 2026 - 1,74 MBWurket mei firefox 140.0 en letter- YouTube videos that failed with "HTTP 403": some YouTube videos (often trailers and videos from big studios) stopped with a 403 error after about a minute of downloading, or never started. Save Media now downloads them in full, up to 1080p. Tip: let the video play for a few seconds before you download.
- ERTFLIX (ertflix.gr): episodes failed with "Could not read the stream description (moov)". The episode now shows up as a single, complete download instead of a short fragment.

Save Media now picks a download source that YouTube still accepts, so these videos download in full again, up to 1080p.Boarnekoade frijjûn ûnder Alle rjochten foarbehâlden

Utjûn op 28 sep. 2026 - 1,71 MBWurket mei firefox 140.0 en letter- Audio tab. The popup now has a separate Audio tab for music and other sound files, next to Videos, Images and Downloads.
- Hover download icon on videos and audio. The download icon that appears when you hover now works on videos and audio players too, not just images. In Options you can turn it on or off separately for Images, Videos and Audio.
- Movable download icon. Drag the hover icon wherever you like. It remembers where you put it on each site, and Reset icon position in Options puts it back in its default corner.
- Download the video's cover image. When a video has a cover image, you can save it from the quality menu.
- Clearer download buttons. Buttons now show a video, music or image icon, so you can see what you're about to download.
- Countdown when the free limit is reached. When you use up your free video downloads, a clear message shows how long until you can download again, with the option to upgrade to Lifetime.

Utjûn op 22 sep. 2026 - 660,6 KBWurket mei firefox 140.0 en letterFixed: long video downloads
- Long videos on some sites failed partway through, after hundreds of MB had already downloaded. They now complete.
- Large videos could stall at 75% and lose everything downloaded so far. These now stream straight to disk instead, so the stall is gone.
- Download size and speed could be reported wildly wrong (a 2.2 GB video showing as 11.5 GB). The counter is now accurate.
- The merge step now shows bytes as it works, so you can tell "still running" from "stuck".
New
- The Video tab now shows a short note when you're on a site we haven't tested yet — along with an invitation to try the download anyway. The list of tested sites updates from our server, so new sites are recognised without waiting for an extension update.Boarnekoade frijjûn ûnder Alle rjochten foarbehâlden

Utjûn op 22 sep. 2026 - 657,2 KBWurket mei firefox 140.0 en letter- The Settings screen now shows the version you have installed, so you can check whether an update has reached you.
- Download diagnostics now record whether the item was a video or an image. This lets us see which kind of download is failing on a site instead of one blended number.
- If you have entered a Lifetime Code, that code is now sent with download diagnostics. It is used only to leave test downloads out of our statistics — it is not stored alongside the diagnostic.
