AdFree - Ad Blocker & Pop-up Blocker for Firefox

AdFree blocks ads, pop-ups, pop-unders and trackers in Firefox before they load. Pages open faster, articles stay readable, and one switch turns it all on. The popup shows how many ads were blocked today.

WHERE FIREFOX'S OWN PROTECTION STOPS
Enhanced Tracking Protection is good at trackers, but it is not an ad blocker: plenty of ads still load. Firefox's pop-up blocker stops windows that open with no click at all, yet lets through pop-unders that ride along on a click you did make, and scripts that fake a click on a hidden link. AdFree closes both gaps and works alongside Firefox's protection instead of replacing it. Sign-in windows, payment pop-ups and links you open in a new tab keep working.

WHAT IT BLOCKS
• Banner, display and video ads on everyday sites
• YouTube ads - most are removed before they start, and one that slips through is skipped
• Ads on Twitch and TikTok
• Known pop-under ad networks, stopped at the network level
• Trackers and session-recording scripts

YOUR CONTROLS
• Six blocklists you can switch on or off under "Blocklists": general ads & trackers, community rules, tracking & telemetry, Russian ad networks, Japanese sites, and rules built from user reports
• YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and pop-under protection stays on whenever AdFree is on
• A site switch that allows just the site you're on, for the sites you want to support
• "Report an ad on this page" for anything that gets through
• The popup speaks your language: 57 languages, following Firefox's language

PRIVACY
Blocking runs inside Firefox on the browser's built-in blocking engine. AdFree keeps no history, builds no profile and sends nothing in the background; its settings, allowlist and counter stay in local storage. Only two things can ever leave your browser, and only when you act: the address of a page you report (scheme, host and path - no query string), and your answer on the optional feedback page that opens if you uninstall.
