Not compatible with Firefox for Android or Chromebook

07.2024: Immer mal wieder werden funktionen eingeschränkt und gefühlte Ewigkeiten nicht behoben.
Zuletzt war dies, erst Desktop App entsperren, bevor man das Browser Plugin mit dem Finger entsperren konnte. Mittlerweile behoben, doch gab es auch schon anderes.
03.2025: Die neue UI... eigentlich ganz schick, doch warum extra ein Untermenü zur Auswahl vom Benutzernamen oder Passwort. Ein schnelles Arbeiten (z.B. Linux Konsole) ist somit sehr unkomfortabel geworden.
Generell möchte ich sagen mag ich bitwarden äußerst gern, doch so manchmal ist es auch sehr frustrierend. So auch aktuell. Natürlich sind es wieder 4 oder 5 Sterne, wenn es wieder komfortabler wird.
Was ich vergessen habe und noch viel mehr nervt, Biometrie. Entsperren kann ich nur nachdem ich das Browserfenster minimiert habe, da Windows Hello im Hintergrund aufgeht wtf.
28.08.2025: Und wieder kein Fingerprint (Nutzlos, da so immer Master Passwort zu nutzen ist), da die Entwickler es vorschreiben. Meinetwegen aus guten Gründen, doch die Entscheidung dem user überlassen und dabei warnen, um gottes willen, das wäre doch eine viel zu freundliche Option.

Every day, I'm getting logged out multiple times from this extension from all my devices and my email is forgotten as well. Very frustrated with constant re-logins and needing to go through Duo 2FA flow again-and-again-and-again.

Switching between multiple accounts causes sessions to be signed out, which does not happen with the desktop app.

Fix the forget login problems already!

Incredibly frustrating. And their support website sucks too. No matter what link you click on there, it only displays one page "Having trouble with Bitwarden Extension for Chrome?" WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY NOT MY PROBLEM AS I'M USING FIREFOX. As far as the firefox ADDON, no matter how many times I set a pin, or tell it not to timeout the vault and not to require the master password, it times out the vault and requires a master password. Don't include these options if they aren't going to function. Now just to tolerate it I've had to set it to NEVER sign out, which we both agree is not safe. Bitwarden is not safe. Furthermore, it never offers to save new passwords, even ones it generates for me. And the android app is so slow my screen times out and the app is locked all over again before I ever even get to select a saved password. Is anybody developing this anymore cuz it's starting to look like an abandoned project after this many months. I'm done with bitwarden. Definitely NOT the best password manager; PCMag, WIRED, the Verge and CNET were probably paid for their reviews anyway.

Recent update make it worse: need to re-login everytime while having the setting to keep me signed in on, don't remember the email but the checkbox was checked on login, and the fingerprint work only 20% of the time, the other not asking for it :(

Continues to be broken after 2+ months. Constantly logs out and doesn't retain settings. Dishonest developer has been promised a fix 3 weeks ago, but it didn't happen. I wouldn't trust them with a plastic spoon, much less my password data at this point.

If I could give it zero stars I would. For the past month this extension has not worked. Forces log outs even before browser restarts. Locks up the internet in the browser so it never connects until the plugin is disabled. Why do I even pay for this password manager in the first place when the extension always has problems. This is the at least 3rd failed update in less than a year.

its been 2 years since they introduced a regression where biometrics fail. Now its been another 2 months (since 24.4 release) where the addon logs you out constantly. Firefox is just not a priority for bitwarden, sadly.

As Jungiebee says, this logged out and frozen until you disable and re-enable the extension bug is untenable. The issue is long ongoing and they still haven't pushed out the fix??

The addon logs you out constantly. This was reported to Bitwarden over a month ago and reportedly fixed, but they haven't bothered to release the fix yet. Very poor support for paying customers. Look elsewhere.

Edit: Fixed now, but it did take them two months.

The plugin is great, but the new "multi-tenant" setup is not working well in 2024.4.2. Once in a while (not clear when and why exactly) the plugin "forgets" some of its tenants and they need to be re-added manually. It was working with 2024.4.1 though...

Has almost all but stopped working. Logs out, freezes firefox entirely once you log in again. Extension window won't open, no tabs respond. Removing it now.
