I finally got this Firefox Add-on after becoming annoyed with news sites showing up in GOOGLE searches and IMMEDIATELY want you to be a subscriber to THEIR site - I downloading this SPECIFICALLY to BLOCK "The Wall Street Journal" who AGGRESSIVELY blocks you reading their news articles and earlier today I donated money to Wikipedia who PASSIVELY requests donations and I use wiki a lot !

A little quirky but does what it needs to do. I have a semi-issue where it doesn't remember that I've paused blocking when closing and reopening the firefox. It's kind of obnoxious so I might make an Issue on Github. A quicker path than going through the FF extensions manager to the config page would be nice as well. Some improved documentation on redirecting would be nice.

Didn't even work

It's pretty good, but a button to just remove the blocked site without the need of a master password defeats the ENTIRE purpose of it. Just makes accessing the site... 3 seconds longer for that initial attempt.

This works like a charm. Thanks for a great app to prevent me from distractions during my studies. :)

It does not block sites by URL, it actually has a totally different function from the name.

It loads the url before showing the "Restricted access" page, so it only visually blocks loading the page. I want something that never loads the page in the first place..

This is a particularly useful add-on if you are using the feature in Firefox 'DNS over HTTPS' (DoH), as DoH
bypasses your hosts file which is normally edited/used to block unwanted domains.
