Detect duplicates bookmarks but didn't have a button to delete them at the same time, useless ... :/

854 warning for HTTP->HTTPS change, but no batch fix for this....

It was only supposed to clean out the broken links (as that was all I selected) and it ended up removing ALL my Facebook bookmark links. So I am removing this. I seriously wish I had been as smart as reviewer of this addon Scott750 who did not let it delete but checked the bookmarks it wanted to delete first only to realize that the ones that were supposedly dead bookmarks actually were not. I wish I would have read Scott750's review before u sing this addon. I sincerely regret using this extension.

I had this thing go through my bookmarks. It scanned 1225 bookmarks and 90 had errors and 600 warnings. I was going to delete the errors, but I thought I would check first. The first 10 bookmarks with errors that I checked went right to the web page it was bookmarked for. Nothing wrong with the bookmarks that were marked for error. This thing is worthless and has people deleting perfectly good bookmarks. Uninstalling!

Agree with the other users. Hangs and has my PC CPU running at the max. It's like it was mining for bitcoin. Developer or their spokesperson has a bad attitude. Just look at the comments left.

I wouldn't fall for the bogus positive reviews. Uninstalled.

Just hangs. The little fox logo in the top right jumps once, you select duplicates and the button to start working is greyed out. I've tried this several times in the last year or so, from complete re-installs and it doesn't work for me.

sorry, but yes i really think this is useless unless you can actually delete all those duplicates! like i said, i don't need the add-on to laboriously go through my own bookmarks and spend way too much time deleting them one by one. please add this essential aspect, then i'd be happy to change it from one start to five!

Didn't try to work. Selected an option to check duplicates, broken links or missing titles and the button to start remained grayed out on each one.

Developer: You mean like this other review you were quick to discredit and call fake that says the same thing I just did? You seem to not accept that your add on doesn't work for everyone and blame the user! This is a sign of developer arrogance. Your app is worthless if it doesn't work and it does NOT.

Great idea, but so many false positives that it makes it worthless. Can only give it one star until bugs fixed. This should have been released as "alpha" version.

It does not work! Whith each runcycle the addon detects new, not working URLs (while some of these work!) and after deleting these new ones occur again.
And it takes ages to scan all links (seems there is no good delay after which not working URLs get aborted)
No control what the addon does. While it works in the background one cannot see if it crashed already.
No chance to interrupt or see intermediate results. No batch processing of links. I would not recommend it.

After having deleted not working URLs and starting the Addon again, the addon detects new entries which it did not durung the first run? So it does not work reliable... be aware.

It get stuck at last bookmark and then i have to restart Firefox...

What happens after it identifies all my bookmarks? I want eliminate duplicates, but I don't see any action tab to perform this function??

Searching for duplicate links:

The AddOn doesn't show any duplicate links, but starts to delete links without my confirmation. A look into the FF bookmark backups showed me, that there where really nearly 100 bookmarks deleted.
So I closed the tab of the AddOn hoping this will stop the process. In this moment FF crashed. After starting FF again, ALL my bookmarks were lost.


I hope you understand my rating. I deleted the AddOn for now.
It's a pitty because FF seems not to able to created an integrated bookmark organizer. So i still hope you get this AddOn work bug free.
My best wishes for that project.

I have 1558 BMs and your 'broken bookmarks' did not not complete the scan. So I tried 'missing bookmarks names', which found 4, but the list was most un-useful.

I would hope that clicking on the entry shown in your report would take me to the link in question to determine what to do.

Sorry, but for now, I have removed the add-on.

Das alles kann ich doch mit der integrieten Lesezeichen-Verwaltung ebenso gut erreichen...
Warum muss die ganze Geschichte eigentlich in englischer Sprache laufen - ohne Möglichkeit auf z.B. Deutsch umstellen zu können.

Ich habe das Addon gleich wieder gelöscht...

I get so many false positives that it becomes really annoying. And there's nothing I can do. I double check the site, the link is correct, it isn't a redirect but comes back as broken. It will be nice to be able to whitelist these mistakes made by the checker. It stalls at the last link from time to time which is also a problem. (Firefox 57, about 540 bookmarks) I originally gave this three stars a while back but it still does a terrible job. About 35% of bookmarks come back as errors. Even after replacing so-called redirects with suggested alternatives it comes back as an error. It's much easier and better to save bookmarks as an html file and check with standalone link checker. I use Xenu. Thee errors went from 177 out of 540 to 11, which were true redirects I wanted to keep.
