This was a five star extension prior to FF57, and now it just doesn't work. (1) No colours in inactive tabs (2) Text in inactive tabs unreadable, (3) Cannot drag with titlebar/tabbar.

Edit: I'm not trying to blame anyone, extension authors have done a fantastic job and I have used it for many years. It's just unfortunate that in it current state the extension is unusable. Colouring just the current tab is is nice, kinda less useful but at least it's something that can be used. The other two problems are unfortunately showstoppers.

I downloaded the new version of Colorful Tabs and all my tabs turned transparent. I have net yet been able to return them to their former colorful state.

So to spoil the excellent application it is necessary to try very much. There are no options, the theme of Mozilla is breaking, one vile color is pink-violet! Uninstalling!

I was horrified when I installed the new Firefox and discovered it wouldn't accept my Colorful Tabs!

I am now officially un-horrifiedand using the beautiful, wonderful, amazing, unbeatable Colorful Tabs. Thanks for such a quick resolution of my absolute favorite add-on!

Is this sabotage? Doesn't work for 57 but also stops working on older. Why distribute such a broken update? Has developer's account been hacked?

This last update stopped the add-on on FF56 !!!

Been using it for years. It used to be a great app until the last update. It has no options anymore. Uninstalling.

On my computer colorful tabs has a background of black and only the tab in use shows.

This version is awful! Can not read labels in toolbar or on tabs with most of the colors , does not color any tab except the one open, other tabs remain ugly black and illegible. I am very disappointed Colorful Tabs - you use to be my favorite extension for FireFox b ut no longer :(

I'm assuming the FF57 colrfultabs add-on is only half cooked at this stage. I got a popup yesterday explaining that the whole extension needed re-write to work with FF57, so I made a donation in appreciation of getting this done at some point. But as it stands I am having the same problem as everyone else it just changes the colour of FF tabs and menu bar to one colour with 'options' greyed out. A developer update here would be nice with an ETA of when we can expect things to be working. Cheers

I get that people were disappointed that ColorfulTabs (previously one of the best addons for Firefox) wasn't compatible with Quantum, and the dev wanted to retain his loyal fanbase - but pushing an unfinished update (with no options) to thousands of computers is not the way to do that. I, like everyone else, am uninstalling this addon.

i will no longer use this extension since the most recent update. now it is no longer just the tab that is colored; the entire menu bar and bookmarks menu bar are awash in blinding colors, which is compounded when you switch between tabs or visit a new page, and the entire top of my browser is changing between neon colors. shame because ive been using this extension for years now. when it is fixed, i will reenable the extension.

not your fault (i dont think) but also not happy at all that i have to create an acct to rate an extension. an acct for what? it doesnt say. a mozilla add-ons acct?

Mozilla announced the change to extensions a year ago. This add-on has been in "legacy" mode for months. 57 was rolled out and it became disabled because it was not updated. Now, days after 57 is released a rushed, untested update has been issued which doesn't work. This deserves 1 star reviews. Wasting everybody's time with having to disable it, better off no further development if it's going to be like this.

This add-on has served me well for years before Firefox Quantum. I have just installed it but had to uninstall because it now doesn't work properly.

Other add-ons are having the same problem. I will wait for update for ColorfulTabs and will not harshly judge the developer because Firefox decided to update with no regards to previous add-on compatibility. I will have patience.

Not ready for distribution. Tabs work fine, but the add-on locks Firefox into a horrible violet and black theme.

Can not choose colors. Also, all of my other open tabs are blacked out & cannot be read until you "click" on them.

Disabled. Long time user, never seen such an untested addon before. On first install, changes colors to much more than just tabs, whole browser looks like a graphics card corrupted mess. After closing and opening, all colors disappear so no point running an addon that does nothing.

OK calm down everyone, I think we have enough 1 star reviews to let the developer know it doesn't work with 57... I'm sure it will get fixed soon. For now, disabled like everyone else... Please bring back the color options, thanks!

This used to be a great extension, but not any more. Clearly the latest version has several bugs which the developer needs to resolve. Hoping I can get my coloured tabs back!

After years of using ColorfulTabs now by Mozilla's decisions with blocking of meaningful custom styling the tabs, and the hacked together Quantum compatible version of ColorfulTabs which just uses a popup and hacked Persona theme, I'm disabling it for now... In this state its completely unusable and even worse than without this addon... I'm not giving up, will check the progress, if there's any... Good luck with the development and pushing forward the needed API changes.

I've been using ColorfulTabs for so many years I've forgotten and I come to depend on my tabs being different colors, but ColorfulTab for FF Quantum are terrible... had to remove the Add-on. The Menu bar along with the inactive tabs are black and the the text is burry the point that it can not be read...
