This is the best add-on of its kind and the only one that copies links as text without first having to select the link. Right-clicking alone is enough. This is crucial because it saves time and needless effort.

I had previously asked if the developer would consider adding the option to show an icon for the extension in the Context Menu, in order to make it stand out from the in-built Firefox item "Copy Link Location". The two entries are too similiar at first glance, and I had kept clicking the wrong one. The developer was kind to make this change in version 1.6.1, as can be seen in the screenshot.

The context menu entry clearly stands out now. This further improves what had already been excellent add-on.

Does what it says! Grabs an unformatted copy of the link and throws it on the clipboard.

It works on Firefox 57. Makes it much easier to copy telephone numbers that appear in my gmail messages as links.

It would be much better if you could combine this with Copy Page Address, like the former CoLT < https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/colt/ >. That way it would get the link text as well as the link itself.

Saves you from the frustration of trying to highlight the text of a link. It's a simple option on the right-click menu.

It worked fine until the latest update a few days ago. Now, it doesn't do the only task it is suppose to. Before that, I'd give it 5 stars, today it gets 1

I upgraded Firefox to ver. 56 and updated this addon but it stopped working. Went back to Copy Link Text ver. 1.4.7 and it worked again.

I want to copy the text of a link way more often than I would have figured. Very useful. Unlike similar extensions doesn't ask for permissions it doesn't need.

Left a review when it wasn't working, but even though there's been no updates to the addon or firefox, it's working now. Weird. Anyway, thanks dev.

When enabled, it interferes with the "Home" button: on pressing it the page gets stuck.

This is disabled in my profile for privacy
dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled
ur other addon can still work while this is turned off so I hope u can fix it :)

I stumpled upon this extension while looking for a replacement for ColT. Would be great if this extension could have some of that features, because ColT development stopped and is not compatible with 57+ (e10s multithreading).
Especially looking for the feature "copy link text and url as..." (BBCode, WikiCode, HTML, Plain Text), using it a lot.

Works like "Copy Link Text" but just as a WebExtension addon
