it refuses to allow me to download 1n 720 mode

Doesn't work at all.

Not even the pro version works any more. This plugin is dead and the author, Dishita, has done a poor job of communicating this fact. He is trying to flog an app with yearly subscription to all the people who paid for this now broken extension.

There is no way of downloading youtube shorts, even though the extension says the browser toolbar download button can be used, there is no download button in the toolbar.

Gives the option to download 1080p videos but doesn't actually download anything when the option is selected.

Downloaded it because it said it could download YouTube stuff for free. I guess it can...if you pay for it. So don't bother.

What a disgusting scam this is. It shows FREE but asks you to pay to use it. Wow... Please report.

Many users demand everything for free, and the application was created and updated by one man.
If you have any expectations, respect him and his work.
The application has been working flawlessly for several years and all reports (and there are probably a lot of them) are considered on an ongoing basis.

I guess this downloader is finished. You used to be able to reload the videos a couple of times to get the downloader at least to 720 but now its just stuck on the lowest level and that's it now. I tried with 3 or 4 videos over the last hour and I only get 360 download. This has been my go to downloader but I guess the Dev gave up. I couldn't find the contact info I have used before. I guess YouTube has finally beat him. Oh well I guess it had to end sometime. But had to go back to VideoDownloadHelper. He still lets you go to 1080 but I liked the 720. But it looks like this is the end for trusty old Easy YouTube Video Downloader. I will miss you. RIP 6-20-24.

Turned off all other extensions, ad blockers etc and tried downloading several videos that I would not expect to be copyrighted. If there was a button to press to download, I couldn't find it. :(

This is no longer working. The Download as prompt has disappeared.

I'm not sure why people are complaining this doesn't work. Did you download the update? I did and it works just as well as it always has. It's a great app! Full disclosure: I have no affiliation to the developer of the app. I'm just a long time user who is very happy with it, including the latest release as of April 2024.

Left a 1 star last version because features are now locked behind "Pro" paywall and those that aren't just don't work anymore...

Leaving this 1 star because new version didn't fix anything at all (which of course may not be the plugin's author's fault). What is the fault of the author is how the plugin needs to access ALL data from every website I go to... It's a plugin for Youtube, why does it need to access everything I visit? (Should be allowed to set permissions on this to only work when actually using/visiting Youtube.) and not a single option works when tried? Only greeted with the prompt to "upgrade to pro" when trying to use it, even on it's lowest options...

Not sure why something like this is "recommended" anymore; It hasn't worked last three iterations and the unchangeable permissions allowing it to access everything are... disappointing.

Uninstalling and moving on...
