EXTENSION CHORD — PRIVACY POLICY

QUICK SUMMARY
Extension Chord runs only on minesweeper.online. Your settings and gameplay data (replays, personal bests, panel layout, etc.) are stored locally in your own browser and are never sent to us. The only outside connection the extension makes is an optional one to our own server, minemasters.pro, for the Boardigami challenge feature — which shares nothing more than a public player ID. The extension contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code, and we never sell or share your data.

1. WHAT EXTENSION CHORD IS
   Extension Chord is a browser extension (available for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox) that enhances minesweeper.online by injecting a set of optional tools directly into the game page: a settings panel, PvP/profile stats overlays, a leaderboard table enhancer, personal-best alerts, a replay recorder, a board editor, and a bonus "Boardigami" challenge mode. This policy explains what data the extension and its companion website handle, and applies to every distribution of the extension (Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons/AMO, and any direct download).
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1 Data Stored Only On Your Device
Extension Chord's tools run as page scripts on minesweeper.online and read/write data using your browser's own localStorage and sessionStorage for that site — the same mechanism any website uses to remember your preferences. This includes:
- Tool preferences — which tools are enabled, panel position/scale, and theme
- Gameplay data you generate while playing — recorded replays, personal-best times, custom board settings, and leaderboard sort preferences
- A cached copy of your own public minesweeper.online profile info (username, country, stats) pulled from the game itself so it can be displayed in the panel

This data stays on your device. It is never transmitted to us, and it is cleared automatically if you clear your browser's site data for minesweeper.online or uninstall the extension.

2.2 Boardigami Challenge Feature (Optional)
If — and only if — you open and use the Boardigami panel, the extension contacts our server at minemasters.pro to fetch a random unbeaten board and to record whether you won it. That request includes:
- The ID of the board being requested or validated
- A player identifier taken from your public minesweeper.online profile link (the numeric ID visible in your own profile URL) — used only to attribute challenge wins to you and show your completion count within the feature

No password, email address, or other account credential is ever accessed or transmitted. This request only happens when you actively interact with the Boardigami panel; it does not run in the background or on pages where you never open it.

2.3 Standard Web Server Logs
Like any request made to any website, requests to minemasters.pro pass through our hosting provider's standard server logs (e.g. IP address, timestamp, requested URL) for security and abuse-prevention purposes only. These logs are not used to build advertising or behavioral profiles.

2.4 What We Never Collect
- Your browsing activity on any site other than minesweeper.online
- Account passwords, session tokens, or other authentication credentials
- Payment or financial information
- Keystrokes, clipboard content, or form data unrelated to the game board

1. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
   Locally stored data is used solely to power the features you've chosen to enable — showing your stats, replaying a recorded game, or remembering your panel layout between visits. The Boardigami player identifier is used only to track your challenge completions and, within that feature, to show your progress.

   Extension Chord requests the minimum browser permissions needed to function:
3. Site access is limited to minesweeper.online. The content script and every injected tool run exclusively on that domain — the extension cannot read or modify any other website you visit.
4. No broad "tabs", "history", "cookies", or "webRequest" permission is requested. The extension does not read your browsing history, open tabs, or cross-site cookies.
5. Our Firefox add-on manifest declares no required data collection under Mozilla's data collection permissions.
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
   minesweeper.online — the extension enhances this site's own page and reads data already available on it (via the game's own connection) to build overlays such as the leaderboard and stats panels. We don't control minesweeper.online's own data practices; see their privacy policy for details on how they handle your account data.

minemasters.pro (us) — contacted only for the optional Boardigami feature described in Section 2.2. General browsing of our website, such as this page or our download page, may be measured with standard website analytics as described in our main site's Privacy Policy; that website analytics is separate from, and not embedded in, the extension code that runs on minesweeper.online.

No analytics SDK, advertising network, or third-party tracker is bundled inside the extension itself.

1. DATA SHARING AND SALE
   We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. The limited Boardigami data described above is used only to operate that feature.

4. Boardigami completion records tied to your player ID are retained on our server for as long as that feature is offered, so your challenge history persists across sessions and devices. Contact us at any time to request deletion of this history.

11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
    Extension Chord is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to remove it.
12. SECURITY
    All requests between the extension and minemasters.pro are made over HTTPS. We never ask for, and the extension never transmits, account passwords or credentials of any kind.
13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the extension's features change. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.

SCOPE OF THIS POLICY
This policy applies to the Extension Chord browser extension distributed for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. It does not cover the separate Extension Chord Windows desktop installer, which is described in its own documentation, or minesweeper.online itself, which is an independent, unaffiliated website.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date listed above and applies to all data handled by the Extension Chord browser extension.
