Works very well.
The only one big problem is the small amount of languages it supports.

It needs more optimization, it doesn't translate full pages in Persian (Farsi) language.

And please Firefox Translations add for Firefox mobile (android)

Minor UX bugs on Ubuntu Linux but overall I love it, especially for a first version. Works well and quickly.

On Ubuntu 20.04 when the extension is actively translating works but hides some of the bar buttons and breaks window management. Closing the bar reverts to normal so usable but a bit clunky.

Seems to be working quite fine for the currently supported languages, which is really impressive given that everything is done locally!

I'm really hoping to see more languages supported soon, because this allows Firefox to catch up with some of Google's features on Chrome.

It can't be easily converted to the original language. Also, I hope Chinese will be supported soon.

I am quite satisfied, the translations into my language work 80% so far.
I would definitely appreciate the addition of the option to "Show original", or turn off the translation and display the page in the original language again.

Mas o idioma português que existe na extensão é o de Portugal ou do Brasil? Utilizo no Firefox Beta para Android e funciona até bem para traduzir as palavras, só precisa melhorar o enquadramento da janela que está desproporcional e tradução de páginas não está disponível, mas acredito que falta pouco para ficar 100% no FF de Android.

The first translation in a language is a bit long due to the download of the model, that would be great to speed-up this process.
Also waiting for the ability to translate a text selection.

Been waiting for proper in-page translation on Firefox for a long time. It's not perfect, but it's really solid.

It is pretty decent I would like an option to disable the big translation bar and stop asking me for translate every website I visit, also a popup menu like google translate extension or a context menu entry would be way better and less intrusive.

Does nothing. Just shows sometimes "fxtranslation-notification" on the yellow ribbon and thats all.

I think the problem is Firefox ESR last version. 4 star for when my ESR version is updated or this plugin is updated.

I've been looking forward to the day I could try the results of "project Bergamot" in Firefox. The fact that translations are made client-side is great for privacy-minded users (and should be put forward as an USP when marketing this add-on!).

Regarding this add-on: my first impression is that translations (tried German -> English and Portuguese -> English) are of a high quality. Possible errors are highlighted in red: good idea.

I think the UX still needs some polishing, hence the 4 stars. Why just copy-paste Chrome's translation bar? I wouldn't mind a floating, less vertical space consuming toolbar (like we have in Firefox's Reader View). Also: some options are still missing (translate only a fragment, switch back to original text, no manual found, no preferences found ...). A progress bar would also be clearer than the number of elements remaining to be translated.

But very promising for a first release, and I hope more languages will be added soon! I'd also like to contribute to (improving) Dutch translations.

I'm so glad that there is a google alternative web translator that works on firefox. Up until now I've had to use Chrome/Edge for website translations.

I would give this 5 stars if it had Dutch translation.

Fantastic idea but needs some polish. Would like to use it for words and selected text passages as well.
