If you are looking for a quality mouse gesture addon, look no further!

I like this extension.

It would be great if you can add 2 more built-in commands: go to first/last page in current tab history. Currently, I can make it work by making use of user scripts like below:

/* go to first page in history of current tab */ for(let i = 0; i < window.history.length; i++) {window.history.go(-i);}
/* go to last page in history of current tab */ for(let i = 0; i < window.history.length; i++) {window.history.go(i);}

Besides, I noticed some comments saying thie extension doesn't work on firefox's pages (like this one). This is not the limitation of this extension. It is the restriction introduced by Firefox on ALL extensions. And it can be bypassed by about:config:

extensions.webextensions.restrictedDomains (empty it, create this string first if it's not there)
privacy.resistFingerprinting.block_mozAddonManager (set it to true, create this boolean first if it's not there)

On stable release 59.0.2 at the time of review.

Worked great when it works, but it seems to have the right click button held on even after gesture is complete. So when I scroll up or down, it zooms in and out until I press the right click button again. It seems to be linked to rocker gestures and wheel gestures; with both off there is no issue. This is also a problem in a similar add-on called Gesturefy, but the frequency of 'error' is greater with this add-on.

I never had this problem with the original FireGestures; maybe this is API related.

Edit: Found out that this is a conflict between Foxy Gestures and Zoom Page WE, so if anyone has the same problem then you'd have to disable right-click and scroll function in Zoom Page WE so there is no interference.

Very useful addon to increase your browsing productivity! Very convenient together with Tablet PC pens!

FoxyGestures is an actively developed, feature-rich gestures recognizer that can greatly enhance your browsing productivity. It allows defining custom gestures triggering custom user scripts for advanced browser control/automation, for example to automate the Tree Style Tabs addon. It can also be used very conveniently with a Wacom pen by drawing gestures in the air. (If you have problems with air gestures since Microsoft's pen scrolling in Windows 10 v1709, see https://github.com/marklieberman/foxygestures/issues/217#issuecomment-365014892 for a workaround config.)

@all those who have submitted 1-star feedback complaining about bookmark access permissions:
- Are you aware that technically all addons before Firefox v57 had access to all your bookmarks?
- There are users like me who want to control bookmarks (like adding a new ones) via gestures.
- If you don't trust an addon, feel free not to use it. Or build your trust by checking its open(!) source code at https://github.com/marklieberman/foxygestures for any phone-home code. (I didn't find any.)
- As a general-purpose gestures addon that allows you to write&configure custom user scripts, it would defy this addon's purpose to disallow access to certain parts of your browser.
- If you really want an option to granuarly give/remove permissions to/from FoxyGestures, consider posting an enhancement request on https://github.com/marklieberman/foxygestures/issues and see what the developer thinks about this. Giving 1-star feedback here because of this isn't constructive!

This is a great replacement for Fire Gestures, which is a legendary XUL addon. Thanks so much for the hard work implementing a great web extension replacement.

One question. Would it be possible to add support for the WebExtension named Temporary Containers, or provide that developer with an API to register events within Foxy Gestures so links can be opened in a Temporary Container with a mouse gesture?

The dev of Temporary Containers stated they would need that support so thier addon could work with Foxy Gestures.

This replaces FireGestures for me. Does what it needs to do.

People - this is open source, you can check the code and the linked issues/requests on things like new permissions due to feature requests etc.

It is a great add-on that provides me a good range of mouse gestures that I use everyday. Many people complained about the demise of firegestures, but if it was another time and both add-ons existed simultaneously, I would still prefer this add-on over firegestures because its clean interface and it is lightweight on resources.

Does what it needs to do within the limitations of what the new Firefox allows add-ons to do. I also like the full explanation of its working principle on the github readme page. Edit: People are complaining about bookmark permissions, but they're necessary for a gesture command to bookmark a page.
