GLance does not collect, store or transmit any personal data.

The extension has no server component and makes no network requests of its own, other than
fetching the file you asked it to preview — the same request your browser would have made to
download it.

Files are processed entirely in memory inside your browser, using rendering engines bundled with
the extension. No file, or any part of it, is ever sent anywhere.

The optional "Recent files" list stores only filenames and addresses in your browser's local
storage, never file contents. It can be disabled and cleared at any time from the extension popup.

Permissions and why they are needed:
• Access to all websites — to download the file you asked to preview, from any domain
• Downloads — to detect a download of a supported format and offer a preview instead
• Context menus — to add the "Preview with GLance" entry to the right-click menu
• Storage — to remember your settings and, optionally, the recent files list
